I had a lot of alignment issues and it turns out that my snaggle tooth wasn’t the part of my smile that drained my confidence the most. Aligning the overall look of my teeth made me so much more willing to smile and show off my teeth! Bytes “for-life” guarantee is what drew me to Byte and is the reason that I will recommend Byte above other companies. They may do things a little cheaper, have thinner aligners and be working out the kinks of being a newer business, but they value their customer and stick to their guarantees!

35Ashley G.Semmes, AL1 year agoSpacingOverbiteI chose Byte because it was affordable and the treatment time was fast. They have exceeded my expectations! I wanted to fix my gap and my overbite. The first couple of days they did hurt but after that, you don’t even feel them. Now, I love to smile and I do it with confidence. I’ve gotten so many compliments. Customer support alone has been by my side since day one checking in on me and I like that. Thank you Byte!
19Kirsten C.Jacksonville, FL7 months agoCrowdingSnaggletoothHonestly I decided to start an aligner treatment to improve my self confidence and stop being so insecure about smiling and laughing. I did research on numerous different companies before choosing one I thought was right for me which ended up being Byte. I chose Byte because of their customer service reviews, reputation on the BBB, and their price. When I did the impressions kit I wasn’t sure they could even help me. I thought the over crowding I had was going to be something I needed traditional braces for but I figured I would give it a shot.
To my surprise, Byte said they could help! They showed me my treatment plan and sent out my aligners and I was beyond excited. During the process, customer service has been great. Anytime something wasn’t quite fitting or feeling right I reached out and they worked to fix it right away. After completing my initial sets of aligners there were still some things I wanted to adjust about my smile and they have been so wonderful at helping me to achieve those goals. My treatment has lasted a little longer than normal but that’s because of the adjustments and I appreciate all they have been doing. Overall I would 100% recommend this company and getting clear aligners!
18Alexis FOregon2 years agoCrowdingSpacingOverbiteI chose Byte for the Smile Guarantee, which I ended up taking advantage of. It worked for the most part. My bottom teeth were really crowded and the top had some spaces and twisted teeth. Byte totally fixed my top teeth and I love the results. My bottom teeth though got a little funky. Since the teeth were so crowded, by the end of my 3 month program, I told them that my teeth were still slightly crooked and that one of my teeth in the front appeared shorter than the rest. With the Smile Guarantee they sent me a whole new 3 month set of aligners to try again, even for the top teeth! I’m so thankful for that. My top teeth look even better, and the bottoms are still a little crooked and I still have a tooth on the bottom that is shorter than the others….but they did what they could with the technology, and I’m honestly surprised they worked this well and so fast.
Overall, I got exactly what I wanted! After I go to my dentist to shave my teeth (to make them all the same size) my smile journey will be totally complete! Sorry for the ugly pics, since I have an overbite I have to smile weird to show my teeth! Also, the first pic is actually about a month into my aligners.
16Chris J.Atlanta, GA8 months agoCrowdingSpacingTooth GapI’ve wanted to close my gap for as long as I can remember; I may not have ever pulled the trigger if it weren’t for Byte and their unique system which includes the HyperByte and BrightByte. Their customer service is on point, and the whole treatment is very reasonably priced compared to the other brands on the market.
In less than 3 months of treatment, my gap almost fully closed. And over the next several weeks, my few wayward teeth will continue to straighten per the plan from the #Byte doctors and experts.
I’m going into the 10th month of the program and coming down the home stretch to completing my Byte journey. I did the nighttime aligners which require me to wear the aligners 10+ hours per day (even tho over time I wore them most of the day also); the daytime aligners require you to wear them 22+ hours a day. The company does a great job with sales and customer service. Their medical director @drjonmarashi is awesome!! The two things that made me go with Byte over the others (outside of their customer service) was pricing and the HyperByte-the device that sonically helps to cut your program time while helping to alleviate the pain/discomfort that comes with shifting your teeth. Hopefully, this helps those thinking about getting aligners.
If you’re considering a clear aligner system, give Byte a closer look.
14Jade H.Atlanta, GA8 months agoCrowdingSpacingOverbiteThe aligners worked good and very accurate considering that you take the impressions at home yourself. At first, the aligners will create a little tingling pressure on your teeth that will take some initial pushing through of the pain for the first couple days. You will get used to it and like the feeling because if means they are working 😅 I feel so much more confident now and I’m glad to have had the option to try Byte aligners. I feel like they have really straightened out my teeth.

If you decide Byte is the right treatment option for you, be sure to take advantage of this special promotion. For a limited time, they're offering their impression kit for just $14.95. If you decide to purchase their full aligner treatment, you'll also receive $100 off plus a free BrightByte Pro LED Whitening Kit (normally goes for $249).
Brianna J.Buffalo1 year agoCrowdingSpacingTooth GapOverbiteI chose Byte because I read that they had really good customer service which was really important to me. I wanted to have someone there every step of the way and I definitely got that. The impressions kit was pretty simple (but uncomfortable) to do.
My biggest concern was my gap between my two front teeth and that has definitely been fixed. However, the crowding in my bottom teeth was not fixed and I need to get more aligners than I was originally supposed to have to correct it. What is nice about that though, is that I don’t have to pay any additional money for my refinement aligners. As for the aligners themselves, I definitely had some fit issues in my molars but the hyper Byte definitely helped with that and I got instructions to follow from customer service.
Overall, I’d give Byte 4/5 because it fixed my main concern, but I’ll still need more aligners to fix my secondary issue.
UPDATE November 2020: This company did a great job with my gap, however, I still have crowding in my bottom teeth even after my treatment. I’m currently waiting for refinement aligners and it’s taking about 2 months and my current aligners are starting to fall apart. Crossing my fingers that they get here soon! 🤞
12Molly FUSA2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothI love Byte. I struggled for years with being self conscious about my smile. Byte is affordable, has excellent customer service, and listened to all of my requests. My teeth were transformed in just four months and at the end of my treatment, I had a few minor issues I still wanted to address. Byte had me take new molds and designed another round of treatment for me. The best part? That was all covered under the smile guarantee and I didn’t pay anything extra! I recommend Byte to anyone looking to improve their smile!
12Tara T.Urbandale, IA7 months agoCrowdingSpacingTooth GapOverbiteOverjetI’ve been told basically since my adult teeth came in that I’d need braces. I’ve had a huge gap in my front teeth that I’ve always been super self conscious about, but never wanted to go through with actual metal braces (my brother did and I knew first hand how bad they could suck!) Also as I got older my lower teeth began overcrowding and one tooth was getting severely pushed in. After seeing all the new companies available that offered clear aligners I decided it was finally time to give em a try.
I went with byte because of the overall length of treatment time, cost involved for nighttime, and the user reviews. I spent a long time researching and still feel like I made the best choice.
The impressions were easy to do, just make a couple putty molds of top and bottom teeth, and they had my treatment plan up and running and ready to buy in under a week. My aligners arrived sooner than promised, too (I think around 2-3 weeks.) Their hyperbyte vibrate device was a LIFESAVER when it came to the initial discomfort. You can bank on those first couple days being full of pain! Their device is basically a vibrating mouth piece and I’d recommend buying it regardless of what company you’d use.
My initial treatment was to be 17 sets of upper and lower. Which seemed crazy low since I had a huge gap, but at the end of my 17 sets I easily could have called it finished and my teeth were at exactly what my plan showed. But, since I paid so much for my treatment and they offer a happiness guarantee I let them know there were still a few areas I wasn’t 100% happy with and they really worked with me to make sure I would be.
Initially they had me backtrack a few aligners to see if that helped. My issues were with one of my front teeth still being a little cockeyed (which I still don’t know will ever be fully straight but that’s just due to limitations of aligners period), my bottom teeth not being exactly perfect, and a slight gap in between my canines and incisors that I didn’t care for. Backtracking did help some, to their credit, but was not a fix so they sent me a new impression kit for free and then sent me refinement aligners. I think it took 3 weeks total to get all that done from my asking about refinements to having aligners, SUPER fast turn around considering the amount of new customers they have, and my communication with them was strictly email.
So now I’m in what they call refinements for another 17 sets but realistically if I stopped at any point between now (set 5 of refinements) and the end it was well worth my investment.
I can’t say enough good things about byte, honestly. I don’t know if I just got really great people on my case who replied quickly or what, but my experience has been nothing but positive and I expect it to end positively. The length of time based on my initial expectations doesn’t really matter in the end when my teeth are exactly how I wanted without the cost and pain of actual braces. My overbite/overjet is even vastly improved! I’m really happy and amazed with how my teeth look now.
12Matthew OPleasant Grove, UT2 years agoTooth GapI have been looking at doing orthodontia work for years, but never had the time or finances to get it done, until I found Byte. After taking the impression kits at home on my schedule, I got back a 3D digital renderings of how my teeth would adjust. I then decided to give it a shot, after being offered a discount code from the Byte rep. and being informed my insurance would cover 50% of the treatment.
The product and treatment went great, My teeth turned as expected. My only reason for 4 stars, is there insurance customer service department must not have every really checked with my insurance company because they denied the claim saying they do not cover at home tele-dentistry. After several emails, and phone calls, to Byte’s head of customer service I finally gave up and called it s lost of $800 because it wasn’t worth my time to keep fighting.
Over all products are great, just do your own research with your insurance before hand.
11Brittany S.Columbia, SC7 months agoSpacingUnderbiteI chose to go with clean aligners because I talk all day long and didn’t want them to be seen. I was also under the impression that treatment is quicker. I chose Byte because of the ability to use their payment plan which included a longer term product guarantee and the HyperByte was included in the cost. When I started the process, just prior to the pandemic, the customer service response was incredible. As they have grown, it has taken a bit longer to receive a reply, but the replies are genuine and not another “form” email.
I have a Class III underbite that I have always wanted to correct but my parents were against it as a child. As an adult, I had become very self conscious about it. As the treatment has progressed, I am super happy with the results.
I did undergo a revision as I was not 100% happy after the first 12 weeks, knowing that there was still a ways to go. The impressions are super easy to do so the second time around I was much more confident in doing them myself and returning via mail to the company.
Be prepared for sore spots, dry lips, etc that come with regular braces, and know they are painful but it does get better.
You do also have the option to setup a virtual appointment to speak with someone when you have questions. It was so helpful and just wish I had made one sooner in my treatment
I would do it all again in heartbeat.
10Brianna B.Indiana7 months agoCrowdingOverbiteI had been wanting braces since I was a teenager, and I was finally able to afford to get them myself with byte! I chose byte because they’re clear aligners ( which I LOVE) and straighten your teeth in as little as 3 months, mine only took 3 & 1/2 months! The impression kit was SUPER easy and quick to do at home. I’m currently on my last set of aligners and I am SO happy with the way my teeth have turned out! I love byte company, they’re customer service is FANTASTIC! I had an issue when I first received my byte aligners, the fed ex box was damn aged and they were scared it may have affected my aligners, so they sent me a whole new set of aligners for FREE! They made it right and I would choose byte again and will always recommend them to everyone!
9Jennifer P.Florida7 months agoCrowdingI have always wanted straight teeth. To give myself more confidence. To love to smile and not to try to hide that smile. I chose Byte because it has great customer reviews amd a life time guarantee on their products! So far, customer service has been amazing and my teeth have moved soo much! I’m loving my smile and my confidence level and soared! I get compliments all the time on how white my teeth are amd how straight they are becoming! It takes patience as with everything worth doing. It is through the mail and it can take extra time to get the products to you. Shipping is very fast and I have had no problems getting refinements and whitening foam. They work with you to achieve the perfect smile for you! I love also that Byte is so affordable and also offers payment plans and accepts insurance. I would highly recommend Byte to anyone looking to get the smile of their dreams! My dentist even recommends Byte to their clients as well.
9Beth P.New Hope, Al7 months agoCrowdingOverbiteOpen BiteMidlineByte is definitely the best bang for the buck, the support is somewhat helpful, the price is affordable and it seems to be easy enough. I purchased my impression kit around early April, and purchased my treatment a few weeks after completing the impressions and return mailing them.
The impression silicon tastes awful and I gagged the whole time I waited for it to set up, the instructions were very easy to follow and the waiting was the hardest part. The impression kit came with a return envelope system, and I returned it through USPS with no hassle! I got an email around two weeks later, saying that they received my impressions and would work on the treatment plan soon.
The treatment plan took about two weeks as well, which is a slow turnaround. I had trouble with support after my purchase, emails not returned and calls would be bounced around the support center.
I received my aligners four weeks later. That is ridiculous. I was very unhappy with the time it took, my questions would be met with “it should be coming” and many would be unanswered.
The aligner box included the Hyperbyte, Britebyte and the aligners for the first 15 weeks and their case. It was all packaged nicely, easy to follow instructions and the Hyperbyte came with a cable. The aligners are reminiscent of cheap reusable waterbottles, it has the same texture and the printing and molding can be seen on the aligners themselves causing weird spots when wearing – they’re not exactly discreet.
If you’re not focused hard on a constant support team, or care to have checkups, it’s a good value.
8Dixie AlexanderMorganton, GA2 years agoSpacingUnderbiteMy teeth have been messed up all my life, but I never wanted to consider braces because they’re such a pain. My family and I began looking into clear aligner options. We hadn’t heard of Byte before, but we stumbled across them online and noticed that they had great reviews and were very affordable!! I took the quiz online to see if I was a candidate and I was!!
So, I did the super easy impressions and got in my aligners within a few weeks. I wore them every day for 22 hours but my teeth weren’t quite there. I messaged Byte about it and they sent me out some refinements right away!! I just finished my treatment and I’m waiting on my retainers. I couldn’t be happier with their customer service and treatment plan!
8Karin B.Washington, DC7 months agoSpacingTooth GapByte has been the easiest, best decision I could have made for my smile. My dentist quoted me over 5k for Invisalign and I immediately looked into other options. byte makes it so easy to take your impressions at home, mail them back and track them. My favorite feature was the 3D modeling they send of your mouth before ordering the retainers,
I haven’t worn retainers since middle school, so getting back into the swing of things wasn’t easy. But I’ve gotten used to having them in now, 22 hours a day if I can.
8Sarah A.Statesboro, GA9 months agoCrowdingI had braces in high school but about 2012 I stopped wearing my retainer. Bad decision because my teeth moved and ended up being worse than before braces. I chose byte after comparing prices and also seeing that they only use orthodontists instead of a mix of orthodontists and dentists. Did they meet my expectations? Hmmmm well they say 3-4 months and you’re done…no, no you’re not.
Here’s a summary of my treatment.
I received 15 aligners back in January. About 8 weeks in I realized I had a gap between my teeth and the aligners that kept getting worse. I contacted byte and after about 3 weeks, they inform me they need to send me a new impression kit and new “refinement” aligners. Finally after about a 6 week wait, I received another 13 weeks of aligners. Sadly I wish that was the end but my teeth again weren’t moving right and now I am in my 3rd set of aligners with another 11 weeks left (remember I started in January and I’ve had braces before so my teeth weren’t THAT bad).
All in all as much as I sound like I’m complaining, I’ve learned what to do and what not to so. Do NOT contact them via email because you will not get a response, make an appointment under your account and you will talk with someone over zoom that next day usually. Do NOT move forward to your next aligner after 7 days like they recommend, WAIT until you have noooooo gap between your teeth and the aligner – this can take up to two weeks. This can double your treatment plan BUT save you from multiple impression kits and save you from possibly tripling your treatment plan. I would use this company again but I wish they would stress more the importance of staying in your aligner over 7 days to get rid of all aligners gaps.
8Stephanie L.Whiteland, IN7 months agoSpacingOverbiteMy smile has always been a source of insecurity for me. I grew up with a gap in my teeth and my parents couldn’t afford braces. Byte offered an affordable option that was easy and truly made me more confident with my new smile. They more than met my expectations of closing the gap between my front teeth and straightening my teeth. I would definitely recommend it. It was so easy and affordable. The customer service team is also amazing.

Andrea R.Chula Vista8 months agoCrowdingOverjetLet me start by saying that my journey with Byte was supposed to originally be 9 weeks long (6 upper trays, 9 lower trays). I have previously had braces (jr/high school) and Invisalign (11 years ago). I only had minor movement that I wanted corrected to return my teeth to what they looked like post-Invisalign treatment (I didn’t get a new retainer quick enough after my dog ate them so my teeth shifted). I decided to go with Byte as a less expensive alternative to Invisalign, considering the movement I needed was minimal and this would be my third time with orthodontic appliances. All I really needed corrected was a slight overjet on my top 4 teeth, crowding with my right and left lateral incisor (they needed to be pulled forward to align with my front and canine teeth), and slight crowding on the bottom.
Impression Kit: This was surprisingly easy to do at home. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to do it well but I have now had to do it twice (for the original set of aligners and one set of refinements) and it was relatively easy. Make sure you do not waste time mixing the two materials because if you wait too long, it will start drying and your impression will not go deep enough.
I will stand firmly behind this product only being appropriate for those with minor issues because of the fact that it typically does not correct teeth to the level that braces or Invisalign will. They say they do not fix overbites, which would be a deal breaker for me if I needed this correction. Failing to correct all issues, yet trying to straighten teeth may be more harmful in the long run because it overall messes with your bite.
I am somewhat satisfied with my experience thus far but I still have a stubborn tooth that has not moved to my satisfaction. I am currently working via email with Byte’s support and have tried all of their recommendations and am now waiting to hear back about next steps. If you have more significant issues, I recommend going with a more traditional route to ensure your money goes towards truly fixing your teeth instead of band aid/patchwork. It is working for me (for the most part), but that’s after already investing in $10k of orthodontia over the past 15 years before finding Byte.
7Asia WarnerLexington, KY2 years agoTooth GapI went with Byte because their customer service is great an I love that they grantee your new smile. Meaning if anything happens with your new smile they’ll fix it, they won’t leave your side, your a part of the Byte team forever! You & your smile!

7Christina C.Irvington, NJ2 years agoSpacingSnaggletoothTooth GapOverbiteI had originally started with SmileDirect but switched to Byte because of the lifetime guarantee to fix my teeth if I ever became unsatisfied with the way my teeth looked. I loved the thought of the treatment plan only being 3 months rather than the typical 6 months. I do experience some pain and sensitivity when switching to the new set of aligners but the HyperByte makes a HUGE difference when it comes to dealing with the pain. The Byte team has always been super responsive and helpful. If I reach out to them via email the maximum amount of time it takes to hear back is 1-2 days. I love the progress that I see in my teeth and I would recommend Byte 10 times over.
7Karis G.Texas7 months agoCrowdingSpacingI loved Byte! I had braces in high school but wasn’t great about wearing my retainer. My teeth had shifted some and I wanted to get them back to the way they were. I started my clear aligner journey during the lockdown phase of the pandemic so I was not able to go in to see a dentist. Byte made it SO easy- they sent trays to get molds of my teeth and even included the packaging and label so sending it back was a breeze. The mold was super easy to use. After a few weeks I was sent my trays! I also liked that the trays came with whitening spray so my teeth were getting straighter and whiter at the same time. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I do feel like an aligner system where in person dental visits are involved will probably give better results as the dentist can monitor your progress as you go. But no complaints and no regrets!
7Kate P.Philadelphia, PA7 months agoCrowdingSnaggletoothI had gone through the invisalign process as a teen and had a really negative experience (the cement bumps and tooth shaving were havoc on my enamel). Flash forward to adulthood and I still wanted straight teeth but it was a pandemic and I didn’t feel comfortable with someone’s hands in my mouth. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews and Byte seemed to be the best balance of straight teeth and affordable treatment, plus they were waiving fees on impression kits, so it seemed pretty low risk. The kit delivery was delayed and there were a few issues of packages saying they had been delivered when they hadn’t. The customer service team was pleasant and helpful, but a little slow to respond.
Fortunately I didn’t end up needing much assistance or that would have become quite frustrating for me. The impression kit was well packaged and easy to use, the provided impression tray felt too narrow for my mouth, but it didn’t impact my overall treatment. If you have a wider palate, they do offer larger tray sizes upon request, but they’ll make you try the standard one first. After repackaging and returning the impression kit, you’ll hear back from a smile advisor who will send a 3d model of how your teeth will progress through treatment and how long treatment will take.
It is worth noting that my treatment plan did not perfectly straighten every tooth–if this is your goal, I’d say it’s worth visiting an orthodontist in person–but it did adjust all major and cosmetic issues. The 3d model was also a nice tool to visualize how long it would take to start looking like I wanted and to see what quadrant of my mouth would hurt most each week so I could plan meals (iykyk).
The actual treatment process was pretty straightforward. The aligners arrived in numbered packages and, wearing them day and night, I changed sets weekly (they also provide an “only at night” option, but I opted for more wear and faster treatment. The night option would be great if you talked a lot for work and didn’t want to deal with the aligner lisp or excess spit production that happens when they’re in your mouth).
Byte also provides a whitening foam to use in your aligners, it’s minty and didn’t cause any sensitivity, but it didn’t really make any noticeable difference to my teeth. My treatment lasted 3 months and after that I’ve been wearing the provided retainer to avoid any backsliding. I started out wearing them like normal aligners, all the time except when eating or drinking, but have since transitioned to only wearing them at night which hasn’t seemed to be an issue. All around, I’m happy with my results and would definitely recommend byte to someone else with similar issues.
7Madeline M.West Boylston, MA8 months agoCrowdingOverbiteSo for a long time I wanted to straighten out my crowding issue. I decided to try clear aligners since they aren’t very noticeable. I chose Byte because they had great reviews and the price was reasonable. The hyperbyte device was also a huge selling point since the claim is that it speeds up the alignment time.
Sadly, these aligners were not as comfortable as they say they are, even after filing the edges down. My mouth was all cut inside and was sore from the cuts. I contacted them and they said they were sorry for the discomfort but that my mouth would get used to it. I tried for a week and just couldn’t do it. I decided I could only wear these at night. They said that’s fine but that I should double my hyperbyte time and double the time of wearing each aligner which was fine. So I did that.
At the end of my time, even after wearing that last aligner for a couple months, the retainer they sent me was no where near fitting me. I asked them for a new one and they said I’d have to do the aligners ALL OVER AGAIN! I was not happy about that so I just used the last aligner as a retainer. Then eventually just stopped using it. My teeth are very slightly straighter. Not by much at all. The crowding issue is the same for too and bottom. Overbite is also the same.
The customer service is super kind BUT sadly they can only do what the company is capable of. I personally wouldn’t suggest them.
7Mary G.Jacksonville, Florida1 year agoSpacingTooth GapI looked into clear aligners for a few years because I wanted the front gap closed for longer than I can remember. I was leaning toward Invisalign and Smile Direct Club. Last year after giving up on those two because of cost and bad reviews, I started looking into Byte. Having a dentist as the face of the company caught my eye plus they had good reviews so I felt it would be good to go with Byte.
They emailed my weekly almost about continuing with treatment and if I had any questions, which made me feel they would be the same when I got the plan. It was at times but when I really needed to be helped, I felt like I was being ignored.
Everytime I had an issue it was like pulling teeth with tweezers to get them to take care of it. I usually email customer care with most companies because I usually work business hours but with them with issues I had to call because I honestly felt as if I was being ignored. I would send an email and after the normal 24 to 48 hours there was no response but in the mist of an issue I got one email to order retainers and another to review Byte for some whitening foam.
Unfortunately, I needed refinements because the treatment was messing up my bite and the plan was rotating one tooth to the side to close the gap but that was not the plan I agreed to. After weeks of back and forth, I got the impression kit, sent it off, got a new plan, and was told they would be expedited because of all the time spent trying to get in touch with them to even get that far. The normal time is about four weeks, I waited almost two months and had to call them to have it sent. They expedited that time and I got the email about it being shipped the next day. Sadly, the manufacturer completely messed up the aligners and was sent back to square one because they would not have the manufacturer reprint them. I went through the whole process and it has been over 4 months and I am still waiting. They said this time it would be expedited but it has not been over a month and still nothing.
I put my issue on IG and someone from Byte wrote and said they will look into it and get back to me and it has been a week and nothing. I was in the same aligners for almost 4 months with the company not having any noticeable sense of urgency to take care of the issue. Those aligners have since cracked so now I am back a week in aligners again. Since this was after the impressions were done I told them, they said it will be fine, however that is what they said about every issue and it turned out to not be.
I really wish I could recommend Byte but I wouldn’t want to be responsible for anyone feeling ignored and disappointed in an experience as I have been.
7Max H.Asheville, NC7 months agoCrowdingSnaggletoothOverbiteI had waited for years until getting aligners, it was always on my to do list but never completed. I took the jump because I had always been so self conscious of my smile and wanted to see if invisible aligners would even work for me.
The mold process was easy with a little help from my girlfriend. After about a week byte sent me a 3D rendered treatment plan that showed me how my teeth would move, step my step. The plan was that it would take 18 weeks for perfectly straight teeth. Unfortunately my bottom teeth and my snuggle tooth didn’t want to move. This wasn’t a problem with byte’s smile guarantee. Customer service were fantastic in helping with this. After 15 weeks they checked in on me and noting I wasn’t where I needed to be, they sent me a new mold kit. I have a revised set of aligners for another 15 weeks to get my full results but I am happy with the results so far and it has definitely helped with my self confidence.
I feel I made the best decision going with byte and I’d advise anyone using them to stick with the treatment plan. Use the hyperbyte often and you’ll see the results you want. If you’re a bit behind, they will help you out the best they can.
7Alex S.Akron, OH7 months agoTooth GapI chose Byte because of the pricing and reviews which were better than some of the other invisible aligned companies. The impression kit was easy to use and the directions were clear. Shipping was always very fast. Customer service was great and I always received an email back within the same day. I really loved the teeth whitening/ aligner cleaning solution the kit came with. Definitely recommend Byte!
6Cassandra ParrishOklahoma City, OK2 years agoCrowdingI am finished with my original aligners but during the last couple lower aligners one of my teeth somehow went a wrong direction and my bottom teeth are slightly crooked. So I contacted customer service and they assured me this is something that happens sometimes and based on thier smile guarantee they sent me a new impression kit and I filed a little correction with new pictures.
I just mailed the impression kit yesterday but I am sure at this point that my issues will be corrected shortly with a few new aligners.
6Dallas K.Cleveland, TN7 months agoCrowdingI’ll start by saying my reason for using aligners was just minor crowding. In researching aligner options I considered a lot of brands, I ended up going with Byte (TLDR: it was a disappointment. Don’t take the cheap route with orthodontics). To be honest Byte had the prettiest packaging and that reeled me in along with the price. I was extremely skeptical about the DIY orthodontics but decided it was worth a shot. I received my impression kit in April 2021 and got right to it. Taking my own impressions was terrible, gross, and also painful due to the trays being way too big for my mouth.
Fast forward, I received my aligners and hyperbite about 4 weeks later. I was hopeful. It took about 2 weeks to adjust to having aligners in my mouth, they were quite painful and destroyed my gums (get a fine grit file, Byte doesn’t care to make sure they’re not sharp). After the first two weeks it was a smooth process, I wore the aligners and used the hyperbite as prescribed. My treatment was set to be finished in august. August came and I reached the last aligner, but my teeth had hardly moved. They looked virtually the same as day 1. I reached out to Byte about my concern and received a response about a week later. They requested that I take pictures of my teeth in my current aligners and send them in. I did.
A week later I get another response requesting that I try on all of my aligners, take pictures of each set, and send those in (was quite inconvenient). A week later, another response saying they will send out another impression kit. I take more impressions, send those in and wait two weeks for a doctor to review them. Then I’m informed that they’re sending out refinement aligners, I get them about 3 weeks later (a 7 week process between informing byte of the issue and receiving the refinements). I am now completely done with my refinement aligners for my bottom teeth and guess what? More refinements are needed, hardly any change again. Starting that 7 week process once again.
Keep in mind my crowding was minor, and they couldn’t even get that right. If I could go back in time I would 1000% spend the extra money and do Invisalign and have it done right under the direct supervision of an Orthodontist. Luckily my teeth haven’t been damaged at all, but that’s also a risk you take with the DIY companies (read your contract). Don’t go the cheap route, invest in quality care.
My before photo was day 1 of aligners, my progress is where I am now. See much of a difference? Me neither, other than my purse being a bit lighter.
6Danielle F.Nashville, TN7 months agoSnaggletoothCrossbiteI wanted to get rid of this dreaded snaggle tooth that formed on my bottom teeth. I had no idea how much it impacted my other teeth until I started using the aligners and saw pics! I chose byte because of their pricing and their smile guarantee. Customer support has been good, though my teeth are super stubborn, so I’ve had to go back and forth with the care team and have actually had to do impressions three separate times throughout treatment due to a gap forming between my teeth and the aligners.
It can take some time to get shuffled around their support center so keep that in mind. I’d submit pics, wait a week to hear back, have to go back a week or two in aligners, see if that fixed the problem, then send in more pics and finally get a re-do on the entire set. So those 5-6 week “pauses” in treatment definitely eat up some time! My smile is still misaligned but that’s less of a tooth issue and more of a bone/jaw issue. Overall I’m still really happy with how things are progressing!
