In general, most Byte customers express satisfaction at the end of treatment. However, when it comes to crossbite cases, it’s a bit more of a mixed bag. Some customers state that treatment takes significantly longer than the advertised 4-5 months average due to how complex crossbite can be. We also come across multiple people who ended up having to get Invisalign or braces instead.

Putting them in was a breeze and they fit snug on my teeth. I do have a slight lisp when I talk with them in and they are noticeable when I bite down, but thinking that might get better as I adjust to them.
My personal interactions and conversations with the company have been very good. I do realize they are geared towards selling a product, but my representative was very knowledgeable and straight forward when I asked about success rates, complaints, and complications. At no point have I been informed that this works for everyone or assured that it would even work 100% as planned for me.
Each new aligner set is snug when first put in, but by the end of the week has adjusted my teeth enough that they are easy to put in and take out.
Super impressed with how my teeth are aligning and no complications at all. I know this option may not be for everyone, but I am now at the point that I have seen great results and would urge you to try if you are at all curious.
The clear aligners are the best invention I have ever used and I’m one that had actual metal braces on my teeth in the past. The only issue I have run into is my insurance company has continually asked for additional information (3 separate times), so I am still waiting for the reimbursement to be approved and received. Even if for some odd reason the insurance didn’t come through, I would have chosen to do it all over again and because of the pricing I really can’t complain.
Helpful?Juliette SherrillSurprise, AZ2 years agoCrowdingOverbiteCrossbiteI want to start by saying if you’re not motivated and consistent, this will not work. My treatment was going great for a while and then I kept forgetting to put the aligners in and one tooth was stubborn and would not move so I lost motivation. I eventually started back up again but basically from week 1. If you’re consisted and motivated, this is a great way to straighten your teeth without braces, but stay consistent or it will not work! I would recommend because it is cheaper than braces and easier if you don’t want to deal with having braces and bands and wires in your mouth, and it’s all from home so there are no dentist visits
Helpful?Melissa O.Cleveland, Ohio2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothOverbiteCrossbiteOpen BiteI realized that the crowding of my teeth was getting worse over time, and I didn’t like the appearance of my smile due to my cross bite. The company was incredibly responsive before I paid (I paid in full in one lump sum) but after that I never spoke to anyone directly or heard from them aside from boilerplate emails. I never spoke to a professional about the projected final result. I was so excited that I didn’t really think about it much, and went ahead with the treatment. I am moderately pleased with the straightening of my bottom teeth, but overall disappointed in the result. The rotation on my canine hasn’t changed, and my open bite is as bad as it ever was. If I had had the opportunity to speak with someone, and understand that Byte couldn’t fix my bite at all, I wouldn’t have bothered. My dentist has sent me to an orthodontist to have my bite corrected, so basically this was a waste of time and money.
Helpful?Ashley H.Kansas City, Kansas2 years agoCrowdingCrossbiteI’ve been using Byte for 6 months now. My teeth are definitely adjusting, some aren’t tracking quite as well as they should. Bytes customer service was very helpful. However, I’m on the daytime aligners and wish I had gone with the night time ones because they’re thicker, and I’ve had issues with my aligners cracking. Also, it’s taken much longer for me to be able to switch liners than the one week time frame byte originally suggested. Overall I’ve been happy with Byte, if I had to do it again I would absolutely get the nighttime aligners and wearing all my aligners for a minimum of two weeks. I moved a little too quickly at first which is likely why a few of my teeth haven’t moved as planned.
Helpful?Amy MarcotteSuffolk2 years agoCrowdingCrossbiteI chose Byte to fix my overcrowding based on that it seemed at the time their customer service was the best. However that turned out to not be true, it was very difficult to get a strait answer from them, after writing an email I would have to wait and hope for a reply. I was pretty happy with my results and thought I was on track and doing well with my treatment. So when I checked in to get the rest of my alignments after week 15 they told me I in fact wasn’t on track and to go Back a few weeks on my aligners. After going back and forth with them they eventually told me out of the blue that I would need to get a refund from them and go see an actual orthodontist instead. My teeth are a bit straighter but teeth shift and they only allowed me to do half of my treatment. So all in all it was a bit disappointing and their customer service is seriously lacking.
Helpful?Shannon B.United States2 years agoCrowdingCrossbiteI had read good reviews about byte’s customer service and their products seemed to be the most consistent across all reviews. I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service BEFORE I received the aligners but disappointed in the lack of follow up after I started the treatment. Felt like everything was one and that the were a lot more available before I had paid them money
My teeth were VERY crowded which has caused a lot of cavities in my life. My front bottom teeth crossed over each other and I was super self conscious about it. The treatment so far has worked pretty well! I haven’t finished it but there is a clear difference in the crowding. It’s easier to clean my teeth and take care of them. I’d suggest anyone wanting to use Byte should be very self-directed. Once you get your aligners you’re kind of on your own, but they do work!
Helpful?Tessa O.NJ2 years agoCrowdingCrossbiteI decided to go with byte because they had the best guarantee that if the treatment Didn’t work they will issue a refund. Their intro box offer also came out to be the cheapest. So far along the way customer service has been super helpful. I had a problem halfway through my treatment with the aligners the roof it as well as the shed and I was able to submit a request to restart. It was covered and I do not have to pay an additional fee. I’m in the process of working on this new set of aligners now.
Helpful?Li L.Rosemead, CA3 years agoCrowdingCrossbiteI chose Byte Me because the price was reasonable, and it came with the HyperByte which other companies don’t offer. The treatment time and 3D model results looks promising, website was easy to use and easy to get a hold of customer service.. The HyperByte works really well, especially on the first day after I switch the aligners. Customer service responds quickly to address my concerns. Now I am at 13 weeks, waiting for them to ship me week 16 -21 aligners.
Helpful?Rachelle S.Decatur, GA2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothOverbiteCrossbiteI decided to go with aligners after being unhappy with my smile for most of my life. Overall, it was an okay experience. I had to go through multiple refinements (3 in total) and customer service could be very slow to respond and send me what I needed, which significantly increased treatment time. I went with Byte because it was cheaper than Invisalign but I wish I had invested in that instead. My smile still isn’t exactly right but I didn’t want to increase the treatment time. A 3 month treatment.
Took nearly a year due to refinements and delays.
Helpful?Kamran B.Silverdale, WA2 years agoCrowdingCrossbiteI started my aligners a year ago and I have been very pleased with the process and the customer service Byte has offered me.
When I started them I thought I would be done by now but I have crooked and crowded teeth so I understand why it’s taking longer to get those stubborn teeth to move.
If I would have understood this experience for those teeth before I probably would have gone with regular braces as the pressure needed to move these stubborn teeth quicker just doesn’t come with aligners.
I have grown to enjoy the aligners as I know they are making progress as I wear them. They are simple to use, simple to clean and simple to change out.
If you are looking for something simple to make a big change to the look of your smile aligners are the way to go.
Helpful?Drina S.USA2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothUnderbiteCrossbiteI have always been very self conscious of my smile. I was a cheerleader in high school and that required smiling big for hours a day in-front of large crowds. I always felt like people were staring at my teeth. I choose byte because they were very affordable and less noticeable than braces. They were pretty uncomfortable, but I’m sure it was because of how crooked my teeth were. They definitely straightened my teeth but I will say I have a little bit of an underbite now. A bonus of the aligners was that I lost weight due to not being able to eat with them in. I love my results and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to fix their teeth!!
Helpful?Danielle F.Nashville, TN2 years agoSnaggletoothCrossbiteI wanted to get rid of this dreaded snaggle tooth that formed on my bottom teeth. I had no idea how much it impacted my other teeth until I started using the aligners and saw pics! I chose byte because of their pricing and their smile guarantee. Customer support has been good, though my teeth are super stubborn, so I’ve had to go back and forth with the care team and have actually had to do impressions three separate times throughout treatment due to a gap forming between my teeth and the aligners.
It can take some time to get shuffled around their support center so keep that in mind. I’d submit pics, wait a week to hear back, have to go back a week or two in aligners, see if that fixed the problem, then send in more pics and finally get a re-do on the entire set. So those 5-6 week “pauses” in treatment definitely eat up some time! My smile is still misaligned but that’s less of a tooth issue and more of a bone/jaw issue. Overall I’m still really happy with how things are progressing!
Helpful?Kelsey S.San Antonio, TX2 years agoCrowdingCrossbiteByte is honestly a company that lives on being “good enough”. I wasn’t happy with my results after I completed my treatment so they sent me additional slingers, again wasn’t happy so they sent more & after that I gave up. My teeth definitely look better, but are they great? No. Are they straight? Not really. I paid almost 2k & I now have to go get braces to actually fix my teeth. Their customer service doesn’t seem to care based on my experience & the comments I’ve seen from others.
Helpful?Sara L.Iowa2 years agoSpacingCrossbiteI chose Byte because it came up when I was searching on google and they were having a sale at that time for a 20 dollar impression kit and then money off if you qualified for the aligners. They have met my expectations by providing over the top customer service as I did need my aligners aligned again half way through. But they walked me through the whole process and helped with everything. I will definitely recommend them to anyone!
Helpful?Paradise E.Tuscaloosa, AL2 years agoCrowdingCrossbiteTried BYTE because they had the best reviews and had the “lifetime smile guarantee” and that was a great option. Also was in the Forbes so that was another great aspect that I was looking at. Other aligners had reviews and I didn’t see any on BYTE anywhere.
Helpful?Jennifer S.Rome, NY3 years agoCrowdingCrossbiteI always had a nice smile and never had braces as a child. However as I got older I noticed my smile looked off and realized that as we age our teeth shift. I now had a minor cross bite with teeth crowding that I wanted fixed. I read good reviews about Byte and decided to go with them. Byte has been good and customer service has been good but I highly recommend joining Facebook groups because you do tend to learn more from them. I only have one aligner left on my upper teeth in my initial treatment plan but I expect that I am going to need a refinements in order to obtain my end result.
Helpful?Kat C.St. Louis, MO2 years agoCrossbiteI purchased aligners because I wasn’t fully satisfied with my smile. I received the stimulus check, and believed that improving my teeth was a good investment. At first, Byte was great and my teeth were shifting as expected. About halfway through my treatment, my aligners started to stop working. It took over a year for me to get help from Byte because they make it impossible to get ahold of them. Finally, in August, I was able to come to a resolution with the company. I went to an orthodontist, and was told that my teeth are ground-down to a 60+ year old’s level when I am in my mid-20s. Overall, I would not recommend Byte, let alone online aligners without an in-person orthodontist.
