Byte claims to be able to correct some cases of snaggletooth, depending on how severe the rotation is. But have real Byte customers seen much success with snaggletooth treatment?
In some cases, yes. Quite a few customers noted that their snaggletooth issues were fully resolved — though nearly just as many stated that they saw minimal to no change.

I had a lot of alignment issues and it turns out that my snaggle tooth wasn’t the part of my smile that drained my confidence the most. Aligning the overall look of my teeth made me so much more willing to smile and show off my teeth! Bytes “for-life” guarantee is what drew me to Byte and is the reason that I will recommend Byte above other companies. They may do things a little cheaper, have thinner aligners and be working out the kinks of being a newer business, but they value their customer and stick to their guarantees!

Helpful?Casey F.Pennsylvania2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothI chose to purchase invisible aligners because although I always had somewhat straight teeth growing up I saw imperfections that no one else did. I hated how crowded they looked and had one front tooth that stuck out slightly more than the rest. I needed a change. I chose to purchase BYTE invisible aligners because I was constantly seeing ads for it on Instagram and had a friend who recently purchased them as well. I would say they met my expectations a considerable amount. Their main concern isn’t the speed of your treatment, but that it’s completed properly.
For instance, I was given 10 trays (both top and bottom) to start but required 13 for my top. I was only given the remaining 3 after I had emailed byte support pictures of my 10th trays in. Upon observing them, they noticed bubbles in certain areas and told me I should go back to using my 9th trays because the 10th tray was not fitting as tightly as it should. At that point in time I was upset with their recommendation because I wanted to finish treatment and they simply would not send the last trays without proof that I was following the proper steps to gaining my perfect smile. Now having completed all of my trays, and having had my perfect smile for months I am glad they made me wait.
My advice for anyone that wants to do this is to be patient and don’t give up, this company is excellent at answering emails and any questions you have. You can also contact them by phone for further explanation. Overall I had a very positive experience with this company and have recommended them to several others who are now participating in byte treatment.
Helpful?Kirsten C.Jacksonville, FL2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothHonestly I decided to start an aligner treatment to improve my self confidence and stop being so insecure about smiling and laughing. I did research on numerous different companies before choosing one I thought was right for me which ended up being Byte. I chose Byte because of their customer service reviews, reputation on the BBB, and their price. When I did the impressions kit I wasn’t sure they could even help me. I thought the over crowding I had was going to be something I needed traditional braces for but I figured I would give it a shot.
To my surprise, Byte said they could help! They showed me my treatment plan and sent out my aligners and I was beyond excited. During the process, customer service has been great. Anytime something wasn’t quite fitting or feeling right I reached out and they worked to fix it right away. After completing my initial sets of aligners there were still some things I wanted to adjust about my smile and they have been so wonderful at helping me to achieve those goals. My treatment has lasted a little longer than normal but that’s because of the adjustments and I appreciate all they have been doing. Overall I would 100% recommend this company and getting clear aligners!
Helpful?Kadi SandersFresno, CA2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothOverbiteI chose Byte as my aligner company. They got back to me with a treatment plan quickly and they give you an electronic model of what your teeth will look like with each aligner which is really cool. They also give you several payment plans to choose from, or you can pay up front to avoid interest. I had crowding on my bottom teeth with one that protruded out, which always caused me to bite my lip. This was initially the reason I wanted the treatment. I also had a top tooth that stuck out more than all the others that was fixed as well. Communication with them was great, and when I needed to extend my aligner plan they sent aligners out quickly. If you choose byte, there is a lifetime guarantee but be aware that if you lose any of your aligners it voids that plan. I gave four stars because there was two teeth on the bottom that didn’t correct all the way, but it could be based on the size of my jaw, and I was still happy with the end results and definitely recommend them. Not only did it fix the issues with biting my lip, but it straightened up my teeth and improved the crowding.
Helpful?Molly FUSA4 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothI love Byte. I struggled for years with being self conscious about my smile. Byte is affordable, has excellent customer service, and listened to all of my requests. My teeth were transformed in just four months and at the end of my treatment, I had a few minor issues I still wanted to address. Byte had me take new molds and designed another round of treatment for me. The best part? That was all covered under the smile guarantee and I didn’t pay anything extra! I recommend Byte to anyone looking to improve their smile!
Helpful?Amber G.Kentucky3 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothOverbiteI heard about Byte on tik tok LOL. I actually chose them because they had the best deal out of anyone else I researched. My impressions came out perfect because my aligners fit perfectly every time. The process is super easy and if you ever need help from the customer support they will always reach out to you sometimes even when you don’t ask at all. They are wonderful. They are a legit team that knows what they are doing. I am just now almost half way done and my results are phenomenal. Plus if you have good insurance like me that helps a lot too. And if you don’t they will finance them. I would definitely give it a shot. They are amazing!
Helpful?Alli B.Arkansas2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothI chose to do at-home aligners because the problems I wanted fixed weren’t major and being in college had made my wallet pretty thin. So, after doing some serious research I chose Byte. I decided to use this company for 2 reasons. Their pricing was one of the best on the market and their customer reviews were outstanding. Now, the reason I gave them 3 stars out of 5 is because at the end of my treatment plan I was nowhere near the point they had predicted.
After contacting them and alerting my team of my concerns they helped me to setup another round of aligners to hopefully create our desired results. So, my original 15 weeks turned into another 15 weeks after 3 months of waiting for my second set to arrive. And if they had worked this wouldn’t have been a big deal, but after all that the aligners caused one of my teeth to become more crooked than it was before.. I wouldn’t not recommend them because they do seem to have an amazing team and customer support, but it was kind of a waste for me personally because now I’m going to have to get traditional braces anyway.
Helpful?Jordan M.Saint Paul, MN2 years agoSnaggletoothI was insecure about my bite, I had stopped wearing my retainer because it hurt and my orthodontist wouldn’t adjust it. So my teeth moved and I was weary of paying more money and possibly needing ugly braces again.
I chose Byte over Invisalign because of the price difference and they were just as easy from what I saw from other reviewers online. It was also the beginning of COVID and so I thought why not fix my bite now while I don’t have to see people and remove my aligners awkwardly in a restaurant. The process went well and it was easy to take my own impressions. They worked with me to continue with additional aligners past my treatment because it wasn’t exactly where I wanted my smile to be and so I did additional aligners until it felt right.
The only issue I had was the fit of my retainers and they started to help me with getting a better fitting one, but then their customer service stopped – and so I felt like they had left me out to dry. My retainer works and will keep my teeth where they are, but there’s a gap between the top teeth and the retainer fitting correctly. Overall I rate them 4/5 and would recommend, just be sure to communicate and keep going if it doesn’t feel right.
Helpful?Marvin L.Baltimore3 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothI purchased the aligners because I’ve wanted to correct my teeth for over 10 years. Byte seemed easy and had a good payment plan. So far my expectations have been met. I wanted to correct my overall smile with a focus on 2 snaggleteeth and some crowding.
The impression kit was very simple for me, I followed directions to the tee and had no issues. I personally think Byte is great for minor teeth straightening issues. E.I crowding or gaps. I think a person should consider how severe their case is before investing in Byte. Mine was low/medium so BYTE has been great for me! Also being committed and consistent is VERY important! I have not missed a single day without brushing/flossing 3+ times a day and keeping the aligners in the recommended time.
Helpful?Melissa O.Cleveland, Ohio2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothOverbiteCrossbiteOpen BiteI realized that the crowding of my teeth was getting worse over time, and I didn’t like the appearance of my smile due to my cross bite. The company was incredibly responsive before I paid (I paid in full in one lump sum) but after that I never spoke to anyone directly or heard from them aside from boilerplate emails. I never spoke to a professional about the projected final result. I was so excited that I didn’t really think about it much, and went ahead with the treatment. I am moderately pleased with the straightening of my bottom teeth, but overall disappointed in the result. The rotation on my canine hasn’t changed, and my open bite is as bad as it ever was. If I had had the opportunity to speak with someone, and understand that Byte couldn’t fix my bite at all, I wouldn’t have bothered. My dentist has sent me to an orthodontist to have my bite corrected, so basically this was a waste of time and money.
Helpful?Ashlyn S.Pittsburgh, PA2 years agoSnaggletoothOverbiteMidlineI decided to start an aligner plan with Byte because I saw they had many positive reviews and the price wasn’t outrageous. I decided that I was tired of my crooked teeth and finally wanted them fixed. I never smiled because of how embarrassed I constantly was. I was very happy with my end results and would recommend Byte to anyone that wants to make their smile even better. The process is simple, wear your aligners 22 hours a day and make sure you use your HyperByte tool so use can move onto the next set. Customer service was great whenever I needed to extend my plan and then order my retainers.
Helpful?Rebecca L.Coos, New Hampshire2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothLove Byte aligners, I went from not wanting to show my smile to loving my smile. Before pictures where tough to find but I wanted to show what a change these aligners have made. There can be some wait time when doing the aligners if you have a long adjustment period – I had 26 weeks that was broken down into two sets. I had to wait for my second set to come in but it was worth the wait! I really Love that I was able to do everything from home and they have their own financing at great rates! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for at home aligners!
Helpful?Caley W.Sanford, NC2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothMidlineI purchased Byte aligners because I wanted to straighten my crowded teeth. I didn’t necessarily want braces so I looked into clear aligner options. I also didn’t have insurance at the time, so I was looking for a cheaper alternative. I chose byte based on the reviews I read on people’s experience using this company. I compared it to other clear aligner companies and felt most comfortable choosing Byte. I was hoping to achieve a straighter smile and less crowding with Byte. I wasn’t in a rush to straighten my teeth and I already knew this route wasn’t going to be super quick. I’ve been using Byte for over a year now (I was originally told it would only be 16 weeks) and I’ve had to get refinements once. Overall, I am very happy with my experience. My smile has changed so much, and even though my teeth still aren’t 100% straight right now, I know they eventually will be. Byte has a guarantee that they will provide aligners until the customer is satisfied with their smile. This gives me enough confidence to keep moving forward with the process. Customer service is not the best at Byte, but all my questions have been answered, eventually.
My main concern is that nobody ever reaches out to check my progress, but I haven’t had any issues, so it’s not that huge of a deal to me. The whole process with Byte’s impression kit went really smooth. I’ve used 2 impression kits, one for my initial set, and one for my refinements. They were easy to complete and didn’t take much time. Other than the iffy customer support, I would say this company is really great. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of lack of customer service. Overall, I am super happy with how my teeth are turning out and I would definitely recommend Byte to a friend!
Helpful?Ali S.Andover2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothBeing in my 30’s, I never ‘learned’ I had to wear my retainers for the rest of my life to keep my straight teeth after braces. Needless to say, I had the awesome snaggletooth on my bottom teeth.
Overall I’ve been super happy how my teeth have improved. The process is MUCH slower than advertised, so patience is key. I also wear my bottom retainers during the day as I’ve gotten much better results. I’ve had to reach out numerous times to have them adjust my retainers as my teeth weren’t on track. Downside to that is, it literally takes 5 weeks from the point of contact to getting new retainers. You are also 100% on your own. They do not check up on your progress, so you need to make sure that you are keeping an eye out on teeth tracking, etc. If you’ve had braces before, it’s an easy road to maneuver!
Customer service is good, just slow.
I’m happy with the results and am looking forward to hopefully being done with everything soon!
Helpful?Crystal AlbrechtTIfton, Ga2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothOverbiteI have always wanted to fix my teeth and found Byte on Facebook. They had good reviews and seemed to have a reasonable price. I initially received 15 aligners for both top and bottom. They were to be worn a week at a time and use the byte tool 5 min a day. Close to the end I contacted Byte as I did not see significant progress. They instructed me to go back a few weeks and wear them longer and use the tool for 20 min a day. I was also told I had 3 additional aligners for the bottom and 5 for too they were sending out. Towards the end of the expanded set I once again contacted Byte disappointed with my progress. I was instructed again to go back a few weeks. I continued for a few months and finally gave up. It always took more than a week for each response from Byte which led to several weeks as they always requested more photos in each email. I am disappointed and do not see a difference. I feel I wasted the money and will still need braces to correct my issue.
Helpful?Lauren K.Palmetto Bay2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothThe thought of having to go to repeated office visits for aligner treatment is what had kept me from fixing my teeth. Being able to have aligner treatment from the comfort of my home was very appealing to me. The burden to monitor your progress falls on the patient when you do an online aligner system but the tradeoff was worth it for me. Whenever I had concerns about my progress I found it easiest and quickest to schedule a virtual appointment on Byte’s website. I ended up having to stay in trays longer than the initially recommended 7 days so my overall treatment took longer than initially predicted but I am very happy with the results.
Helpful?Ashley L.Columbus, OH2 years agoSnaggletoothI would recommend Byte for minor issues. I do not think that they set accurate goals for the completion of treatment. They could also communicate better in the beginning in regards to when to switch aligners (it’s likely not weekly).
If you go into this knowing your treatment will be far longer than projected and that you will need a few refinement sets, I would day go for it.
If you dislike wait times, want immediate answers and check ins with an orthodontist, go the traditional route.
Helpful?Kelly M.Milford2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothChose Byte to fix my overcrowding because of the HyperByte. I believed it would speed up treatment as advertised, allowing me to switch aligners every week instead of every two. I could tell immediately that wasn’t going to work and started wearing them 10 days. Still, by week 6 of 18, I realized I wasn’t tracking properly. It took six weeks to go through emailing, sending pictures, getting a new kit, sending it back, and waiting for new aligners to be created. After that, I bought “chewies” (often used by other clear aligner companies, but not Byte, at least at the time), wore the aligners longer, and finally started making progress. Unfortunately, part way through the journey, I encountered sets of aligners with air bubbles in them, bubbles big enough to be felt on my teeth. So, enter another delay of emailing and production and waiting for new aligners. This was not rushed, despite being 100% Byte’s error. When I finally finished, already months behind the date originally told to me, my teeth still weren’t straight (although the aligners fit fine), so I entered refinements. Which meant emailing. And pictures, and reviews, and more production before getting more aligners. When that period was over, there was still a bottom tooth not fully inline, but very close. As I was at 64 weeks of a process that was sold to me as 18 weeks, I was ready to be done. I asked for my retainers. This, unfortunately, was not the end of my journey with Byte. A little more than a month of wear, my retainer cracked straight over the front tooth–one of the teeth that experienced the most movement, and NOT even on the same row as the tooth that wasn’t fully inline. Frustrated with email response times, I reached out on social media, as others had sworn it was faster. The response team on social media still took time to respond, and then essentially emailed the correct people for me. And I was stuck waiting. The response was… not good. They told me I shouldn’t be wearing my retainers so much (counter to all traditional advice from practically every orthodontist) and that since I’d had their six-month retainer for “so long” I’d have to buy a full new set. I should also mention that I asked for research showing that only two weeks of retainer wear would be sufficient, as they claim, and that question was ignored.
But, my teeth are 98% straight, and a thousand times better than what they were. So I highly recommend clear aligners, just not necessarily with Byte.
Helpful?Max H.Asheville, NC2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothOverbiteI had waited for years until getting aligners, it was always on my to do list but never completed. I took the jump because I had always been so self conscious of my smile and wanted to see if invisible aligners would even work for me.
The mold process was easy with a little help from my girlfriend. After about a week byte sent me a 3D rendered treatment plan that showed me how my teeth would move, step my step. The plan was that it would take 18 weeks for perfectly straight teeth. Unfortunately my bottom teeth and my snuggle tooth didn’t want to move. This wasn’t a problem with byte’s smile guarantee. Customer service were fantastic in helping with this. After 15 weeks they checked in on me and noting I wasn’t where I needed to be, they sent me a new mold kit. I have a revised set of aligners for another 15 weeks to get my full results but I am happy with the results so far and it has definitely helped with my self confidence.
I feel I made the best decision going with byte and I’d advise anyone using them to stick with the treatment plan. Use the hyperbyte often and you’ll see the results you want. If you’re a bit behind, they will help you out the best they can.
Helpful?Kate P.Philadelphia, PA2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothI had gone through the invisalign process as a teen and had a really negative experience (the cement bumps and tooth shaving were havoc on my enamel). Flash forward to adulthood and I still wanted straight teeth but it was a pandemic and I didn’t feel comfortable with someone’s hands in my mouth. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews and Byte seemed to be the best balance of straight teeth and affordable treatment, plus they were waiving fees on impression kits, so it seemed pretty low risk. The kit delivery was delayed and there were a few issues of packages saying they had been delivered when they hadn’t. The customer service team was pleasant and helpful, but a little slow to respond.
Fortunately I didn’t end up needing much assistance or that would have become quite frustrating for me. The impression kit was well packaged and easy to use, the provided impression tray felt too narrow for my mouth, but it didn’t impact my overall treatment. If you have a wider palate, they do offer larger tray sizes upon request, but they’ll make you try the standard one first. After repackaging and returning the impression kit, you’ll hear back from a smile advisor who will send a 3d model of how your teeth will progress through treatment and how long treatment will take.
It is worth noting that my treatment plan did not perfectly straighten every tooth–if this is your goal, I’d say it’s worth visiting an orthodontist in person–but it did adjust all major and cosmetic issues. The 3d model was also a nice tool to visualize how long it would take to start looking like I wanted and to see what quadrant of my mouth would hurt most each week so I could plan meals (iykyk).
The actual treatment process was pretty straightforward. The aligners arrived in numbered packages and, wearing them day and night, I changed sets weekly (they also provide an “only at night” option, but I opted for more wear and faster treatment. The night option would be great if you talked a lot for work and didn’t want to deal with the aligner lisp or excess spit production that happens when they’re in your mouth).
Byte also provides a whitening foam to use in your aligners, it’s minty and didn’t cause any sensitivity, but it didn’t really make any noticeable difference to my teeth. My treatment lasted 3 months and after that I’ve been wearing the provided retainer to avoid any backsliding. I started out wearing them like normal aligners, all the time except when eating or drinking, but have since transitioned to only wearing them at night which hasn’t seemed to be an issue. All around, I’m happy with my results and would definitely recommend byte to someone else with similar issues.
Helpful?Veester L.Vancouver2 years agoSnaggletoothOverbiteMy Byte journey began in April 2022. For several years, I’d been wanting to try braces but I felt I wouldn’t be able to afford them and they might not fit my lifestyle as an active adult. Then one day browsing online I saw an ad for Byte and that they featured clear aligners that can be worn overnight only. The price was much more affordable than in office treatment as well and with financing options so I figured I’d go for it.
I ordered the impression kit, filled out a dental history form online, and uploaded some pics of my teeth. After sending the impressions back, within a few weeks I had my customized treatment plan and aligners and was ready to start treatment.
The aligners came in numbered packages that made it easy for me to keep track of them, the Byte app made it easy to keep abreast of my progress with daily and weekly check ins and reminders to change my aligners. Every month so far the treatment team has me upload progress pics. The aligners themselves are comfortable. They take some getting used to but much preferred over the hassle of going to numerous in office appointments and wearing them all day. I love the convenience and the price, and after 3 months of use I am excited that I’m already seeing my teeth straightening!
Helpful?Colby L.Boston, MA2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothThough I am not finished with treatment, I can definitely see progress in my teeth straightening out. I had one snagged tooth on top that is fixed, the lower teeth are crowded and taking more time to move. That being said, I think the lower teeth look better than when I started. My complaint about byte is that they should tell you upfront you really need to wear aligners for around 2 weeks, not one. That gives you an unrealistic timeline for treatment. They also told me to move backwards in my treatment because one tooth wasn’t fitting right in the aligners when I really just needed refinements or a second set. This has significantly delayed progress. However, these are cheaper and better looking than braces so I am satisfied so far and optimistic that I’ll have a straighter smile when all is said and done.
Helpful?Kimberly PriceEaton Rapids2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothOverbiteWhen I first started byte I had a lot of overcrowding and a overbite. I chose byte because I was referred by another friend, she had expressed to me the easiness of using the aligners. The support team at byte really helped me get started and has been there with any questions just a text away so it’s super convenient. I love byte because they also sent me free aligner whitening foam that has made my teeth white in return. Definitely recommend this product especially cause I’ve had braces and this treatment was merely pain free!
Helpful?Rachelle S.Decatur, GA2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothOverbiteCrossbiteI decided to go with aligners after being unhappy with my smile for most of my life. Overall, it was an okay experience. I had to go through multiple refinements (3 in total) and customer service could be very slow to respond and send me what I needed, which significantly increased treatment time. I went with Byte because it was cheaper than Invisalign but I wish I had invested in that instead. My smile still isn’t exactly right but I didn’t want to increase the treatment time. A 3 month treatment.
Took nearly a year due to refinements and delays.
Helpful?Drina S.USA2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothUnderbiteCrossbiteI have always been very self conscious of my smile. I was a cheerleader in high school and that required smiling big for hours a day in-front of large crowds. I always felt like people were staring at my teeth. I choose byte because they were very affordable and less noticeable than braces. They were pretty uncomfortable, but I’m sure it was because of how crooked my teeth were. They definitely straightened my teeth but I will say I have a little bit of an underbite now. A bonus of the aligners was that I lost weight due to not being able to eat with them in. I love my results and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to fix their teeth!!
Helpful?Danielle F.Nashville, TN2 years agoSnaggletoothCrossbiteI wanted to get rid of this dreaded snaggle tooth that formed on my bottom teeth. I had no idea how much it impacted my other teeth until I started using the aligners and saw pics! I chose byte because of their pricing and their smile guarantee. Customer support has been good, though my teeth are super stubborn, so I’ve had to go back and forth with the care team and have actually had to do impressions three separate times throughout treatment due to a gap forming between my teeth and the aligners.
It can take some time to get shuffled around their support center so keep that in mind. I’d submit pics, wait a week to hear back, have to go back a week or two in aligners, see if that fixed the problem, then send in more pics and finally get a re-do on the entire set. So those 5-6 week “pauses” in treatment definitely eat up some time! My smile is still misaligned but that’s less of a tooth issue and more of a bone/jaw issue. Overall I’m still really happy with how things are progressing!
Helpful?Renee K.Machesney Park, IL2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothMy teeth were very crowded and some were pushed far forward and far backward. I didn’t want traditional braces at my age and thought the aligners would be less noticeable. I chose Byte because they were cheaper but also provided a guarantee backing their product. My treatment was predicted to be about 6 months but it will end up being about two years, which is frustrating. Customer service has been painful to deal with, however my teeth are better aligned and I am overall happy with my decision. Customer service is best when you email and then call. They have the ability to find your email while on the phone if you need them to view photos.
Helpful?Christina C.Irvington, NJ4 years agoSpacingSnaggletoothTooth GapOverbiteI had originally started with SmileDirect but switched to Byte because of the lifetime guarantee to fix my teeth if I ever became unsatisfied with the way my teeth looked. I loved the thought of the treatment plan only being 3 months rather than the typical 6 months. I do experience some pain and sensitivity when switching to the new set of aligners but the HyperByte makes a HUGE difference when it comes to dealing with the pain. The Byte team has always been super responsive and helpful. If I reach out to them via email the maximum amount of time it takes to hear back is 1-2 days. I love the progress that I see in my teeth and I would recommend Byte 10 times over.
Helpful?Makena C.Wheelersburg, Ohio2 years agoSnaggletoothOverbiteI was told by my dentist that my teeth would not need braces for medical reasons, only for cosmetic issues if I decided to get them. I have always been very insecure about my teeth because of a “snaggletooth” in my top row, to the point where i rarely smile in photos. I wanted to go a more affordable, easier route than braces, so i began looking into invisible aligners. Byte was very easy to send in my impressions and their customer service has been great with any issue i’ve had. I will say that using the hyperbyte is a MUST to see results on the timeline they provide for you, but overall I have noticed a huge difference in my smile, and my confidence. I highly recommend Byte!
Helpful?Amanda B.Owensboro, KY2 years agoSpacingSnaggletoothI was very skeptical at first. I honestly didn’t think that aligners would do much for me. I don’t have any type of bite, so when it came to aligners, that was going to be the only down fall. Going through the aligners I noticed my confidence was boosting because my teeth were finally becoming straight. I couldn’t believe it!
