Crowded teeth can result in a wide variety of problems, from painful jaw joints to difficulty keeping all tooth surfaces clean. It’s natural to want to give those teeth space and bring them into alignment. Byte claims their aligners can resolve mild-to-moderate cases of crowding and spacing — but does the experience of actual customers support this?

I’ve had a huge gap in my front teeth that I’ve always been super self conscious about, but never wanted to go through with actual metal braces (my brother did and I knew first hand how bad they could suck!) Also as I got older my lower teeth began overcrowding and one tooth was getting severely pushed in. After seeing all the new companies available that offered clear aligners I decided it was finally time to give em a try.
I went with byte because of the overall length of treatment time, cost involved for nighttime, and the user reviews. I spent a long time researching and still feel like I made the best choice.
The impressions were easy to do, just make a couple putty molds of top and bottom teeth, and they had my treatment plan up and running and ready to buy in under a week. My aligners arrived sooner than promised, too (I think around 2-3 weeks.) Their hyperbyte vibrate device was a LIFESAVER when it came to the initial discomfort. You can bank on those first couple days being full of pain! Their device is basically a vibrating mouth piece and I’d recommend buying it regardless of what company you’d use.
My initial treatment was to be 17 sets of upper and lower. Which seemed crazy low since I had a huge gap, but at the end of my 17 sets I easily could have called it finished and my teeth were at exactly what my plan showed. But, since I paid so much for my treatment and they offer a happiness guarantee I let them know there were still a few areas I wasn’t 100% happy with and they really worked with me to make sure I would be.
Initially they had me backtrack a few aligners to see if that helped. My issues were with one of my front teeth still being a little cockeyed (which I still don’t know will ever be fully straight but that’s just due to limitations of aligners period), my bottom teeth not being exactly perfect, and a slight gap in between my canines and incisors that I didn’t care for. Backtracking did help some, to their credit, but was not a fix so they sent me a new impression kit for free and then sent me refinement aligners. I think it took 3 weeks total to get all that done from my asking about refinements to having aligners, SUPER fast turn around considering the amount of new customers they have, and my communication with them was strictly email.
So now I’m in what they call refinements for another 17 sets but realistically if I stopped at any point between now (set 5 of refinements) and the end it was well worth my investment.
I can’t say enough good things about byte, honestly. I don’t know if I just got really great people on my case who replied quickly or what, but my experience has been nothing but positive and I expect it to end positively. The length of time based on my initial expectations doesn’t really matter in the end when my teeth are exactly how I wanted without the cost and pain of actual braces. My overbite/overjet is even vastly improved! I’m really happy and amazed with how my teeth look now.
Helpful?Kenneth StrickerAndover1 year agoCrowdingOverall I’m satisfied with Byte, but there are certainly some things people need to know to temper their expectations. I’ve been in the treatment plan for around 2 years now. I got the Byte at night system that says you only have to wear them at night (10 hrs min per day). I’ve had to get about 3 new sets of aligners as I finished my treatment plan and still had misaligned teeth. There is certainly a ton of progress but it has been a slow process. I would recommend getting the normal aligners instead of the at night system. They are cheaper and I’ve found that I need to wear the aligners most of the day anyways to get good progress. Customer service from Byte was great at the beginning but its not amazing anymore. They are slow to respond now, I think partly due to how quickly the company has grown. Again, overall I’m satisfied, but still not 100% complete after about 2 years.
Helpful?Christina D.Staten Island, New York1 year agoCrowdingI wanted to get aligners because I have been unhappy with the appearance of my smile. I chose Byte because of the positive reviews I read online prior to my commitment. So far, I have been happy with the progress. The difference they have made thus far is visible. My smile has widened and it is clear the crowding is subsiding. Byte has been very responsive to inquiries and has met my expectations. I was surprised to see they offered the night time treatment option. It suites my lifestyle much better to only wear my Aligners overnight for 10+ consecutive hours rather than throughout my day. Discomfort has been minimal. I would recommend Byte to others.
Helpful?Rebecca L.Coos, New Hampshire1 year agoCrowdingSnaggletoothLove Byte aligners, I went from not wanting to show my smile to loving my smile. Before pictures where tough to find but I wanted to show what a change these aligners have made. There can be some wait time when doing the aligners if you have a long adjustment period – I had 26 weeks that was broken down into two sets. I had to wait for my second set to come in but it was worth the wait! I really Love that I was able to do everything from home and they have their own financing at great rates! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for at home aligners!
Helpful?Jordan Y.Elizabethton, TN1 year agoCrowdingOverbiteI have had a great experience with using Byte! I had braces in the past during my high school days and after years of not using my retainer my teeth shifted back to being crooked and crowded. I chose byte to get my teeth back to their straight alignment. With the great reviews and even greater price I couldn’t pass it up. Byte has 100% met all my expectations. Byte has amazing customer service. I was actually surprised at how well and quickly they responded to any and all of my questions along the way. My advice for anybody wanting to try byte would be to use patience during your journey. My process went a little longer than expected because my teeth move slower than normal but it was so worth it in the end! I love my new straight smile!
Helpful?Kelly B.Phoenix, AZ1 year agoCrowdingIf I could do it again, I wouldn’t choose this route. My treatment was supposed to take 5 months, but took much longer due to needing refinements. I had to redo impressions 2 or 3 times and wait for weeks for new aligners to arrive each time. This meant it ended up taking around 10 months. They only provide one bottle of foam cleaner and when you need more, it is $30 a bottle, which I think is a bit steep. Otherwise, it was pretty cost effective and the result was satisfactory. However, I think it would’ve been worth the extra money to get Invisalign with an orthodontist.
Helpful?Nick B.New York, NY1 year agoCrowdingSpacingI decided to buy aligners because I had never had any dental work done, but I had noticeable crowding among my bottom front teeth that made me self-conscious about my smile. This was also early in the COVID-19 pandemic, so I wasn’t really going anywhere, and I figured it would be easy to keep the aligners on for extended periods of time. I chose Byte because it had good enough reviews and was the cheapest among the options I researched.
Overall, I’m pleased with Byte. As you can see in my progress photo, my treatment is not done yet, despite being predicted to end by mid-2021. My bottom teeth have been exceptionally stubborn, and I am on my third set of adjustment aligners, where I’ve had to be sent more impression kits to craft all new trays to extend my treatment. This has been a pain, but it has all been covered by the Byte guarantee/warrantee, and I’ve done enough research to conclude that this likely isn’t Byte’s fault—there is a danger in trying to move my teeth too quickly. They’ve been fairly responsive to emails, and shipping is generally quite fast. All of this said, I’ve been very happy with the progress I have seen so far, especially as I look back at my before photos.
Helpful?Andrea R.Chula Vista1 year agoCrowdingOverjetLet me start by saying that my journey with Byte was supposed to originally be 9 weeks long (6 upper trays, 9 lower trays). I have previously had braces (jr/high school) and Invisalign (11 years ago). I only had minor movement that I wanted corrected to return my teeth to what they looked like post-Invisalign treatment (I didn’t get a new retainer quick enough after my dog ate them so my teeth shifted). I decided to go with Byte as a less expensive alternative to Invisalign, considering the movement I needed was minimal and this would be my third time with orthodontic appliances. All I really needed corrected was a slight overjet on my top 4 teeth, crowding with my right and left lateral incisor (they needed to be pulled forward to align with my front and canine teeth), and slight crowding on the bottom.
Impression Kit: This was surprisingly easy to do at home. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to do it well but I have now had to do it twice (for the original set of aligners and one set of refinements) and it was relatively easy. Make sure you do not waste time mixing the two materials because if you wait too long, it will start drying and your impression will not go deep enough.
I will stand firmly behind this product only being appropriate for those with minor issues because of the fact that it typically does not correct teeth to the level that braces or Invisalign will. They say they do not fix overbites, which would be a deal breaker for me if I needed this correction. Failing to correct all issues, yet trying to straighten teeth may be more harmful in the long run because it overall messes with your bite.
I am somewhat satisfied with my experience thus far but I still have a stubborn tooth that has not moved to my satisfaction. I am currently working via email with Byte’s support and have tried all of their recommendations and am now waiting to hear back about next steps. If you have more significant issues, I recommend going with a more traditional route to ensure your money goes towards truly fixing your teeth instead of band aid/patchwork. It is working for me (for the most part), but that’s after already investing in $10k of orthodontia over the past 15 years before finding Byte.
Helpful?Michelle T.Charleston, WV1 year agoCrowdingOverbiteByte was fairly easy to get started with. I took the impressions and sent them back, about a month later I received my aligners. I wasn’t impressed with Byte’s communication after I received my aligners. When I got to the last aligner in the box, I realized that they had only shipped about half of the aligners, so I contacted them and they sent the remaining aligners. They were a bit painful at first, but I got used to them after a few days. My teeth moved some at first, but now my bottom teeth seem stuck. They won’t move anymore. THey are crowded, which I assume is the reason they won’t move more, but Byte should have known this would happen.
Helpful?Sonia W.PA1 year agoCrowdingSpacingI started this journey to feel better about myself. The local dentists I went to told me I would not qualify for clear braces. Byte has changed my life…I know that sounds cliche. But I went from trying to hide my smile to showing it off as much as possible. There is some slight discomfort at the beginning of each new aligner. But this goes away within a day or two. I am almost near the end of the treatment and I am so happy with how much progress has been made.
Helpful?Caley W.Sanford, NC1 year agoCrowdingSnaggletoothMidlineI purchased Byte aligners because I wanted to straighten my crowded teeth. I didn’t necessarily want braces so I looked into clear aligner options. I also didn’t have insurance at the time, so I was looking for a cheaper alternative. I chose byte based on the reviews I read on people’s experience using this company. I compared it to other clear aligner companies and felt most comfortable choosing Byte. I was hoping to achieve a straighter smile and less crowding with Byte. I wasn’t in a rush to straighten my teeth and I already knew this route wasn’t going to be super quick. I’ve been using Byte for over a year now (I was originally told it would only be 16 weeks) and I’ve had to get refinements once. Overall, I am very happy with my experience. My smile has changed so much, and even though my teeth still aren’t 100% straight right now, I know they eventually will be. Byte has a guarantee that they will provide aligners until the customer is satisfied with their smile. This gives me enough confidence to keep moving forward with the process. Customer service is not the best at Byte, but all my questions have been answered, eventually.
My main concern is that nobody ever reaches out to check my progress, but I haven’t had any issues, so it’s not that huge of a deal to me. The whole process with Byte’s impression kit went really smooth. I’ve used 2 impression kits, one for my initial set, and one for my refinements. They were easy to complete and didn’t take much time. Other than the iffy customer support, I would say this company is really great. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of lack of customer service. Overall, I am super happy with how my teeth are turning out and I would definitely recommend Byte to a friend!
Helpful?Amy MarcotteSuffolk1 year agoCrowdingCrossbiteI chose Byte to fix my overcrowding based on that it seemed at the time their customer service was the best. However that turned out to not be true, it was very difficult to get a strait answer from them, after writing an email I would have to wait and hope for a reply. I was pretty happy with my results and thought I was on track and doing well with my treatment. So when I checked in to get the rest of my alignments after week 15 they told me I in fact wasn’t on track and to go Back a few weeks on my aligners. After going back and forth with them they eventually told me out of the blue that I would need to get a refund from them and go see an actual orthodontist instead. My teeth are a bit straighter but teeth shift and they only allowed me to do half of my treatment. So all in all it was a bit disappointing and their customer service is seriously lacking.
Helpful?Gabrielle R.Garfield, MN1 year agoCrowdingOverbiteI was looking into options for straightening my teeth and byte seemed to have the best reviews and shortest treatment time. While I am mostly happy with how my teeth are straightening, my initial treatment plan was predicted at 26 weeks, and I am now going on 55+ weeks of wear. Customer service is absolutely horrible and takes weeks to get back to you after the sale. They don’t assign care managers or anything and just take turns answering emails so even in conversations about the same question or problem, you’d have to re-explain what you want or need. Hindsight, I’d spend the extra money and go to a dentist for treatment.
Helpful?Angela W.Abingdon, MD1 year agoCrowdingOverbiteMidlineI chose Byte due to the ability to do everything through mail order. As of now, no issues with crowding have not been completely corrected. The aligners were not fitting correctly after the 10th week. I had a video consultation in order to determine next steps. Refinement aligners have been ordered to continue treatment.
According to my dentist, he feels that other measures will need to be taken in order for this to be successful. For example, slenderizing of the teeth in order to create space for movement.Helpful?Shannon B.United States1 year agoCrowdingCrossbiteI had read good reviews about byte’s customer service and their products seemed to be the most consistent across all reviews. I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service BEFORE I received the aligners but disappointed in the lack of follow up after I started the treatment. Felt like everything was one and that the were a lot more available before I had paid them money
My teeth were VERY crowded which has caused a lot of cavities in my life. My front bottom teeth crossed over each other and I was super self conscious about it. The treatment so far has worked pretty well! I haven’t finished it but there is a clear difference in the crowding. It’s easier to clean my teeth and take care of them. I’d suggest anyone wanting to use Byte should be very self-directed. Once you get your aligners you’re kind of on your own, but they do work!
Helpful?Amber W.Lakewood, CA1 year agoCrowdingI started clear aligners because I had some movement in my teeth after pregnancy. I had braces in high school and stopped wearing my retainers a year or so after completing treatment.
I chose Byte because they were one of the more affordable options and they also offered the shortest treatment times.
I had mild overcrowding and misalignment especially in the lower teeth. I was originally prescribed three months of aligners however my teeth were not perfectly straight after the first three months. I submitted a request to Byte and they sent me a new impression kit. I was issued three more months of retainers shortly after and was happy with my results once I completed the second set of aligners.
Helpful?Amirah A.Boston, Massachusetts1 year agoCrowdingI decided to go with Byte after researching all the other at-home clear aligners. Since my crowding issue was minor, I was hoping to save by doing Byte instead of Invisalign, which was twice the cost.
The beginning of my treatment went well. About 2 months in, I was having tracking issues (teeth were not moving as expected). I reached out to Byte and after 2 weeks of back and forth emails, I was told to start over. I was somewhat disappointed in how long communication took. I would sometimes wait 3 days for a ‘generic’ email response, telling me to contact another department.
I restarted treatment, and 2 months later still had tracking issues. After another 2 weeks of back and forth emails, Byte finally sent me refinements (another set of aligners after another impression kit submission). The whole process took over a month.
In my refinements, I had a strange issue after 2 months. My next set of aligners didn’t fit at all. It was almost physically impossible to put in. I emailed Byte again, and was told to shove them in and leave it overnight, despite the pain and discomfort. Another Byte representative had told me earlier that aligners should click into place, and not cause significant pain. I was convinced something went wrong during manufacturing the aligners, because unlike all my other ones, this next set DID NOT FIT AT ALL.
I tried following all their instructions, it left me with intense pain and discomfort, bleeding gums, and eventually chipped and broke one of my teeth. No matter how much I contacted Byte, they didn’t seem to want to send me a new impression kit for another set of aligners. I kept getting responses from different Byte representatives, each giving me conflicting advise (and taking several days in the process). I was somewhat traumatized by the experience, and ended treatment after that. I had my dentist fix my tooth and have been wary of going back to clear aligners.
TL;DR – fork over the extra money for Invisalign, or another company where you will have regular dentist supervision. Even if your dental issues are small, at home treatment can go very wrong.
Helpful?Ali S.Andover1 year agoCrowdingSnaggletoothBeing in my 30’s, I never ‘learned’ I had to wear my retainers for the rest of my life to keep my straight teeth after braces. Needless to say, I had the awesome snaggletooth on my bottom teeth.
Overall I’ve been super happy how my teeth have improved. The process is MUCH slower than advertised, so patience is key. I also wear my bottom retainers during the day as I’ve gotten much better results. I’ve had to reach out numerous times to have them adjust my retainers as my teeth weren’t on track. Downside to that is, it literally takes 5 weeks from the point of contact to getting new retainers. You are also 100% on your own. They do not check up on your progress, so you need to make sure that you are keeping an eye out on teeth tracking, etc. If you’ve had braces before, it’s an easy road to maneuver!
Customer service is good, just slow.
I’m happy with the results and am looking forward to hopefully being done with everything soon!
Helpful?Brianna B.Indiana1 year agoCrowdingOverbiteI had been wanting braces since I was a teenager, and I was finally able to afford to get them myself with byte! I chose byte because they’re clear aligners ( which I LOVE) and straighten your teeth in as little as 3 months, mine only took 3 & 1/2 months! The impression kit was SUPER easy and quick to do at home. I’m currently on my last set of aligners and I am SO happy with the way my teeth have turned out! I love byte company, they’re customer service is FANTASTIC! I had an issue when I first received my byte aligners, the fed ex box was damn aged and they were scared it may have affected my aligners, so they sent me a whole new set of aligners for FREE! They made it right and I would choose byte again and will always recommend them to everyone!
Helpful?Jennifer P.Florida1 year agoCrowdingI have always wanted straight teeth. To give myself more confidence. To love to smile and not to try to hide that smile. I chose Byte because it has great customer reviews amd a life time guarantee on their products! So far, customer service has been amazing and my teeth have moved soo much! I’m loving my smile and my confidence level and soared! I get compliments all the time on how white my teeth are amd how straight they are becoming! It takes patience as with everything worth doing. It is through the mail and it can take extra time to get the products to you. Shipping is very fast and I have had no problems getting refinements and whitening foam. They work with you to achieve the perfect smile for you! I love also that Byte is so affordable and also offers payment plans and accepts insurance. I would highly recommend Byte to anyone looking to get the smile of their dreams! My dentist even recommends Byte to their clients as well.
Helpful?Crystal AlbrechtTIfton, Ga1 year agoCrowdingSnaggletoothOverbiteI have always wanted to fix my teeth and found Byte on Facebook. They had good reviews and seemed to have a reasonable price. I initially received 15 aligners for both top and bottom. They were to be worn a week at a time and use the byte tool 5 min a day. Close to the end I contacted Byte as I did not see significant progress. They instructed me to go back a few weeks and wear them longer and use the tool for 20 min a day. I was also told I had 3 additional aligners for the bottom and 5 for too they were sending out. Towards the end of the expanded set I once again contacted Byte disappointed with my progress. I was instructed again to go back a few weeks. I continued for a few months and finally gave up. It always took more than a week for each response from Byte which led to several weeks as they always requested more photos in each email. I am disappointed and do not see a difference. I feel I wasted the money and will still need braces to correct my issue.
Helpful?Taylor H.Tucson, AZ1 year agoCrowdingI purchased the byte aligners because of cost and they offered free retainers for life. I thought I his was great since I would need them. I explained to them what my in person dentist told me and explained my goals for my teeth so I could be confident. They assured me that the aligners would work for my smile as nothing was extremes. Just a little crowding on the bottom front and unevenness on the top. They also said that based on my insurance I would only have to pay half.
In the end they gave me the insurance paper claim really late with the wrong date so my insurance denied the claim so I had to pay in full. Also after a year and a half of treatment my lower teeth were slightly better but my upper teeth only seemed worse based on the aligners. I had nonstop problems with their aligners not aligning with my teeth properly. One time they even sent the wrong aligners. After countless attempts to try to resolve the problem with their aligners not being made right for my teeth I asked them politely to either truly fix the problem, tell me the truth that they cannot help me and/or give me my money back! ($1800). They did not respond to any of my requests and only asked for my dentist to send them a letter about my recent cleaning and filings done in the back of my mouth that is NOT affected by the aligners. I was so upset I cut my losses and walked away before they screwed up my teeth. Last thing I will mention is that during my year and a half treatment, I always had to be the one to reach out to them regarding concerns. Then never asked how my treatment was going or if I had concerns. They just wanted my money. Would NEVER recommend them.
Helpful?Scarlett H.Arlington, VA1 year agoCrowdingOverbiteHaving used Invisalign with a traditional orthodontist for 5-6 years, there was still room for improvement. And since I didn’t have aligners, my teeth have moved quite a bit and so I was looking to get my teeth done again. I love that we never had to visit the orthodontist and everything is mailed, and we can log in whenever to the portal to view the treatment plan journey. However, the site wasn’t the most user friendly and there wasn’t much to it other than looking at how your teeth could shift after each set of aligners. I think this is great for someone who has had prior orthodontist/braces experience and is looking for some minor improvement but for more complicated cases that involve major transformation, I think going to a traditional orthodontist is necessary as it might require removing teeth to create space for movement. Absent that, it only allows for very small teeth movements. And it doesn’t correct over/under bite.
Helpful?Nicole DarlingHowell1 year agoCrowdingSpacingMidlineByte has been fantastic, regularly checking in and providing updates and advice along the way. Because of my rather complicated crowding, I went back and redid a few weeks and have only used night aligners so my progress is a little slower but steady and noticeable.
I love the hyperbyte to make things progress more smoothly and more comfortably and the whitener helps as well!
Helpful?Ali S.Kansas City, MO1 year agoCrowdingMy 2 bottom teeth were crowded in and it was very noticeable when I smiled. I wanted to laugh hard and not be ashamed of my teeth crowding inwards, which made it looks crooked. I found Byte which was cheaper than other aligner brands and they had a shorter number of months for treatment reported on their website. The hyperbyte technology was awesome but my treatment took a lot longer than expected. So, they recommend I use hyperbyte more often daily for a faster process, which helped. Overall, I am happy about the results. However, it is important to not throw away from your slingers, otherwise if you lose one of them, they don’t cover and you have to pay more. So just be cautious of that, but they are a reliable company with helpful customer support!
Helpful?Kelly M.Milford1 year agoCrowdingSnaggletoothChose Byte to fix my overcrowding because of the HyperByte. I believed it would speed up treatment as advertised, allowing me to switch aligners every week instead of every two. I could tell immediately that wasn’t going to work and started wearing them 10 days. Still, by week 6 of 18, I realized I wasn’t tracking properly. It took six weeks to go through emailing, sending pictures, getting a new kit, sending it back, and waiting for new aligners to be created. After that, I bought “chewies” (often used by other clear aligner companies, but not Byte, at least at the time), wore the aligners longer, and finally started making progress. Unfortunately, part way through the journey, I encountered sets of aligners with air bubbles in them, bubbles big enough to be felt on my teeth. So, enter another delay of emailing and production and waiting for new aligners. This was not rushed, despite being 100% Byte’s error. When I finally finished, already months behind the date originally told to me, my teeth still weren’t straight (although the aligners fit fine), so I entered refinements. Which meant emailing. And pictures, and reviews, and more production before getting more aligners. When that period was over, there was still a bottom tooth not fully inline, but very close. As I was at 64 weeks of a process that was sold to me as 18 weeks, I was ready to be done. I asked for my retainers. This, unfortunately, was not the end of my journey with Byte. A little more than a month of wear, my retainer cracked straight over the front tooth–one of the teeth that experienced the most movement, and NOT even on the same row as the tooth that wasn’t fully inline. Frustrated with email response times, I reached out on social media, as others had sworn it was faster. The response team on social media still took time to respond, and then essentially emailed the correct people for me. And I was stuck waiting. The response was… not good. They told me I shouldn’t be wearing my retainers so much (counter to all traditional advice from practically every orthodontist) and that since I’d had their six-month retainer for “so long” I’d have to buy a full new set. I should also mention that I asked for research showing that only two weeks of retainer wear would be sufficient, as they claim, and that question was ignored.
But, my teeth are 98% straight, and a thousand times better than what they were. So I highly recommend clear aligners, just not necessarily with Byte.
Helpful?Lauren K.Palmetto Bay1 year agoCrowdingSnaggletoothThe thought of having to go to repeated office visits for aligner treatment is what had kept me from fixing my teeth. Being able to have aligner treatment from the comfort of my home was very appealing to me. The burden to monitor your progress falls on the patient when you do an online aligner system but the tradeoff was worth it for me. Whenever I had concerns about my progress I found it easiest and quickest to schedule a virtual appointment on Byte’s website. I ended up having to stay in trays longer than the initially recommended 7 days so my overall treatment took longer than initially predicted but I am very happy with the results.
Helpful?Joy P.South Orleans, MA1 year agoCrowdingOverbiteByte was such a good decision. The customer care representatives were very helpful in the process! I feel so comfortable with them that I could email them at anytime with any complications or problems and they would help me with in minutes. They were very considerate and understanding and patient with the process and the process itself is very easy I was able to receive my liners within a week of deciding that this was the right option for me I would just say to anybody who is wondering about Byte to make sure that they are 100% ready for this commitment and ready to have a routine. The byte aligners can be quite painful at the beginning but they make an absolute difference!
Helpful?Spencer F.Shawnee, KS1 year agoCrowdingSpacingUnderbiteWhen I first ordered the aligners I had my doubts. I had a pretty bad underbite and my dentist had previously told me that I probably wouldn’t like the results. They weren’t super uncomfortable, just a dull ache, but I’m sure they were a lot more comfortable than braces. They fixed my underbite and straightened my teeth. Very impressed with the results.
Helpful?Beth P.New Hope, Al1 year agoCrowdingOverbiteOpen BiteMidlineByte is definitely the best bang for the buck, the support is somewhat helpful, the price is affordable and it seems to be easy enough. I purchased my impression kit around early April, and purchased my treatment a few weeks after completing the impressions and return mailing them.
The impression silicon tastes awful and I gagged the whole time I waited for it to set up, the instructions were very easy to follow and the waiting was the hardest part. The impression kit came with a return envelope system, and I returned it through USPS with no hassle! I got an email around two weeks later, saying that they received my impressions and would work on the treatment plan soon.
The treatment plan took about two weeks as well, which is a slow turnaround. I had trouble with support after my purchase, emails not returned and calls would be bounced around the support center.
I received my aligners four weeks later. That is ridiculous. I was very unhappy with the time it took, my questions would be met with “it should be coming” and many would be unanswered.
The aligner box included the Hyperbyte, Britebyte and the aligners for the first 15 weeks and their case. It was all packaged nicely, easy to follow instructions and the Hyperbyte came with a cable. The aligners are reminiscent of cheap reusable waterbottles, it has the same texture and the printing and molding can be seen on the aligners themselves causing weird spots when wearing – they’re not exactly discreet.
If you’re not focused hard on a constant support team, or care to have checkups, it’s a good value.
