At-home teeth straightening brands like Byte and SmileDirectClub are rising in popularity as an alternative to traditional orthodontic treatment. Why? Because these companies are able to offer comparable clear aligner treatment for thousands of dollars less than the cost of Invisalign.
And although Byte’s $1,999 price tag is already relatively low, dedicated bargain-hunters like yourself can get their aligners for even less. Read on as we show you how to track down Byte coupons and special promotions, walk you through our special Byte discount, and give you some other tips for cutting down your overall treatment cost.

How to Use Our Special Discount For Byte Treatment
There aren’t any complicated processes or hoops to jump through when claiming our special discount. All you need to do is click the link above. It will direct you straight to the checkout page with your discount already applied.
The screenshots here show an impression kit purchase, but the procedures are similar for anything else you might order.
After clicking “Add to Cart,” you’ll find a series of pages where you can enter your contact, shipping, and billing information.
When you’ve finished, double-check your information, then select “Complete Order” and you’ll be all set! Your products will ship out within the next two business days.
If you’re ordering an impression kit, Byte’s orthodontists will use the molds you create to develop a personalized aligner plan. Then, they’ll send you a preview of this plan, a digital “before and after” of your smile. At this point, you can choose whether you’d like to continue with treatment (although there’s no obligation to do so).
Where to Find Byte Promotions, Coupons & Discounts
Unfortunately, there’s not a single location for Byte’s discounts, a lone webpage with a comprehensive list of promotions. So, you’ll have to keep your eye on multiple sources to find the best offers.
Standard Discounts
Byte maintains year-round discounts for particular groups. If you’re an active military member or veteran, you will receive $150 off your aligners when you complete an impression kit and present a military ID to your Byte advisor. Students and first responders can also get discounts — just email student@byteme.com or firstresponders@byteme.com for further information.
Holiday and Seasonal Promotions
During certain times of the year, Byte will offer discounts right from their website. Check in around major holidays, Black Friday, New Year’s, and more to take advantage of a $100–200 discount.
Email Promotions
Once you get started by reaching out to Byte or ordering an impression kit, you will be on their email list and receive various promo codes for special discounts. They send multiple emails a month, each containing unique deals. Most times, you’ll receive 60–70% off an impression kit, and sometimes, they can also include aligner treatment discounts or bonus gifts.
Their promotional aligner discounts are often around $100, while some special deals (like on Black Friday) they can be $150 or $165. Occasionally, they’ll also toss in a free whitening system or enter you in sweepstakes to potentially win free aligner treatment.
Social Media Promotions
If you follow Byte on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram, you’ll find success stories, photos, memes, and when you’re lucky, links to their latest promotions. They don’t often post these deals, but if you’d rather scroll social media than receive regular promotional emails, this is just another way to access their discounts.
Third-Party Coupon Pages
Just Google “Byte Discounts” and you’ll find a handful of pages that feature promo codes and downloadable coupons. It appears that Byte doesn’t offer many (if any) discounts through digital coupon mainstays Groupon or RetailMeNot, but there are several other sites that gather Byte promo codes from around the Internet.
Most of these seem to be deals pulled from Byte’s emails (above) or from exclusive influencer and affiliate websites or blogs. If you’re looking for numerous Byte deals in one place, these sites can be a great option. Just make sure that you verify a coupon site’s authenticity before proceeding with your order.
Quick Review of Byte (They Scored 4.3 Overall)
We’ve assembled a comprehensive review of Byte’s services. Check it out for an in-depth analysis, but for now, here are some of the basics:
Effectiveness
Like other at-home clear aligner services, if you’re a candidate for Byte treatment, a team of dentists and orthodontists will design your treatment plan and monitor your progress remotely. However, unlike other home aligners, Byte includes a high-frequency vibration device with your treatment. Called the HyperByte, it uses gentle micropulses that the company says can reduce aligner discomfort. Certain studies have also suggested that devices like this can encourage faster teeth movement for some people.
Affordability
Byte’s upfront cost is $1,999, which isn’t the lowest option out there but about average for the industry. This price, however, includes the cost of your aftercare retainers and a round of whitening products. What’s more is that every Byte customer is approved for financing, regardless of credit score.
Convenience
Getting started with Byte isn’t quite as easy as companies like SmileDirectClub, which offers free teeth scans at physical locations across the country. Because they’re still growing, Byte hasn’t yet established this physical presence, so your only startup option is ordering an impression kit and taking molds on your own. That said, we think Byte makes up for this (and then some!) with their efficiency and innovative technology.
Appearance
Each company has its own aligner appearance and materials, and each will tell you that theirs is the best. Frosted, textured aligners better match your real teeth, which have naturally matte surfaces. Byte uses a smooth, translucent plastic that may seem artificially shiny, but everyone has their own tastes, and some customers like the way that it makes their teeth “gleam.”
Customer Experience
If you ever have an issue or question during your treatment, Byte goes the extra mile to make sure it’s resolved in a caring, efficient manner. They assign each customer a personal Byte advisor, who serves as their customer support liaison throughout the treatment process. Plus, after you’ve completed your aligner plan, their Byte for Life Guarantee ensures your smile for life. Even if your teeth shift years down the road, they will craft new aligners to correct them.
Still on the Fence?
Don’t worry! This is a big decision, and it’s totally natural to be unsure about it. But the more you know about each company, the more confident you can be in your choice. The good news is that we’ve already done a ton of research for you. We’ve even reviewed and ranked some of the most popular ones to help you decide.

Competitor Discounts
There’s no question that Byte is a great option, and our special discount makes it even better. But it’s certainly not the only viable treatment.
In fact, there are few comparable home aligner companies that we think are worth checking out. And if you decide that one of these alternatives is a better fit than Byte, you can still get a discounted deal. We keep track of all the major industry players’ promotions, so stick with us and you can take advantage of the following deals:
NewSmile Discount – Receive a $100 Visa gift card when you purchase NewSmile aligners
NewSmile made their debut in Canada in early 2020, then set up its U.S. headquarters shortly after. In those few short years, their low price, remote oversight, interest-free financing, and satisfaction guarantee have already made waves. They’re a reliable, affordable option, especially with their frequent discounts.
AlignerCo Discount – Get $50 off AlignerCo treatment
AlignerCo easily has the lowest standard price in the industry ($1,145), plus flexible financing options that don’t require credit checks. And with our discount, you can get AlignerCo treatment for even less. Anyone who’s sticking to a budget but still wants a high-quality, effective product should check out AlignerCo.
SmileDirectClub Discount – SmileDirectClub often provides steep discounts off its impression kit - up to $60 off
SmileDirectClub is the largest home aligner company in the industry, having transformed over 1.8 million smiles since they were founded in 2014. Plus, they go above and beyond to provide a convenient treatment process. If you’re looking for a treatment that fits with your lifestyle from an experienced company, take a look at SmileDirectClub.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Byte have a refund policy?
Not exactly. After you’ve begun your treatment, they won’t refund your money, but they will work with you to modify your aligner plan if your teeth aren’t progressing as planned.
Can Byte correct my condition?
Like other home aligner companies, Byte’s treatment is designed for mild and moderate cases of crowding and spacing, and some slight bite issues. If your condition falls into this range, Byte might very well be a good option. However, the only way to find out for sure is to submit an impression kit for Byte’s dentists and orthodontists to review.
How long will my treatment take?
Byte advertises an average treatment plan length of 4–5 months. However, your specific treatment window depends on your unique condition. Mild conditions might be quicker to resolve, and more severe ones could take longer.
What is Byte’s standard cost?
Standard pricing for Byte’s impression kit is $95 and for aligners is $1,999. Using a discount will decrease the amount, but if you were to purchase Byte’s treatment at full cost, that’s what you’d likely pay. Final costs, however, can also be subject to other influences (like insurance, financing, etc.). For an in-depth look at everything that affects treatment costs, check out our guide on the true cost of Byte aligners.
carrie says
I’ve had Invisalign over 5 years ago, received some bad advice from a dental authority about only needing to wear the bottom retainer at night after the first year after treatment. Now there’s a gap or poor contact in top back upper molar. Will Byte be able to close the gap so that food doesn’t collect between back molars?
Smile Prep says
Hi Carrie, Byte states in its FAQ that it is not able to move molars (they focus on the front six teeth). So, it sounds as though Byte may not be the right option for your particular situation.
Linda says
Can you only do top teeth with these? My bottom are fine.
Smile Prep says
Hi Linda,
We recently looked into which aligner providers offer single arch treatment (this question comes up a lot). We covered this topic in-depth here: Can I Get Clear Aligners For Just My Upper or Lower Teeth?. In short, yes – Byte does sometimes permit single arch treatment (just top or bottom). However, this is at their discretion. There is some risk of interfering with the integrity of a person’s bite when correcting just one arch, so Byte may require treatment of the top and bottom teeth even if one arch looks fine aesthetically.
Hope that’s helpful!
