I am so amazed with the treatment I received from Candid Co. I was having so many problems with my teeth. I had pretty bad crowding on my upper jaw, which caused a bad bite pattern, so I got countless cavities, and was always in pain. I had constant headaches because of my bad teeth. I couldn’t eat anything hard or crunchy, and I was self conscious of how I looked.
I am a Published model and was having a hard time booking photo shoots because my smile wasn’t ‘photogenic’. I finally consulted my dentist and he HIGHLY recommended that I look into clear aligners. I did my research and narrowed my decision to two companies. I ultimately chose Candid because it seemed like they had better end results than anywhere else! Once I decided, I called the customer center, and they were very eager to answer all of my questions.
The starter kit came right to my house (with a prepaid return package), the steps were easy to follow, and I was ordering my Treatment Plan within no time! My FULL treatment plan was mailed to me, so all I had to do was start wearing the aligners. 22 hours a day, 2 weeks straight, and onto the next set!
In JUST 10 MONTHS I had gone from ‘Don’t show Teeth Taylor’ to ‘Smiley’! I am more confident with my smile, and don’t want to hide from the Camera! I am SO grateful to have found Candid, my life has been flipped upside down!
With that being said, I do have to share the Cons.There are only two things. I want to mention the two reasons I didn’t give all 5 stars…. first- the aligners were hit or miss as far as comfortability. I know it’s not exactly a pleasant process, but the first two days of a new Aligner set is pretty uncomfortable. The aligners hurt, and had sharp edges which would cut the sides of my tongue and cheeks every two weeks. The second thing- the Candid Customer service team is almost impossible to get on the phone. Your best bet is to email them, and they might answer back within 24 hours.
But overall, they are amazing! Clear, good price, effective, and my results are incredible!

I chose to use Candid because their advertisement appealed to me the most, my second option would have been Byte. I went with Candid because they offered the starter kit for under $20 for Independence Day, I believe it was $17.76. That appealed to me, so I ordered it that day.
I received the package, it exceeded my expectations, and the packaging was nice and all of the instructions and information was very clear, concise and easy to follow.
I was looking to fix my crowding issues and my overbite. Also, the support team assigns a consultant to you, that calls every two weeks and discuss your progress, and concerns. It’s like having a personal coach to guide you throughout the process.
Candid turned out to be a good company for me. I liked that they provided a video showing me the progress of my teeth through all 15 steps of the process. They also included chewies, a tool to remove the aligners, a case to store them, and a teeth whitening foam that is absolutely amazing!!! I get compliments on how white my teeth are all the time.
They were very “candid” with me. The consultant even pointed out that I would have a small spacing between tooth 23 and 24, just in case I missed that from watching the progression video.
All and all, I would definitely recommend Candid. I believe that my teeth look even better than the digital progression outcome.
What I have learned through this process is the case is not always around so you should have a predetermined safe place to put them because they are easy to misplace; it’s best to change your aligners at night or before bed, so you can sleep the pain away; it’s important to wear your aligners for whatever timeframe is instructed, these are your teeth and you want a successful outcome; I take way better care on my teeth than I did before the aligners, it teaches you good or better hygiene because you don’t want food particles marinading in your aligners; lastly the convenience of being able to take them off and putting them back on is everything. Sometimes you just want a little relief. Ohhh, I can’t forget to mention that you will likely lose weight And save on groceries because you won’t be eating as much. However, I can now say, my teeth are beautiful thanks to Candid.

I started my first aligners with candid September 14 2019. Before that, I received the impressions kit earlier than the expected delivery date and had no issues with the impressions. I had to resubmit some pictures but it was fairly simple.
The only reason this isn’t a 5 star review is because the aligners have to be filed down out of the package because all of the excess material is not removed and will cut into your gums and tongue. I also notice that most of my aligners have had the same gap on the same teeth. It might be an impressions issue, I have heard that going to a studio and having the virtual impressions done makes it MUCH more accurate and eliminates this problem.
My teeth have moved wonderfully so far though. The initial pain of starting a new set resolves much faster than at the beginning and I find starting a new set at night before bed helps greatly. You sleep through the Majority of the worst pain and when you wake up the aligners fit much better so you are not dealing with the pop off issue of starting a new set during the day.
The complementary whitening foam has done wonders to my teeth. My gums are definitely sore the first few days of a new set and you can see that in the second picture. The top image is set #14 a few days in and the bottom was my starting point.

I had overcrowded and overlapping teeth, which always bothered my self esteem. I did a lot of research and decided on Candid Co. They sent the impression kit with lots of great directions. Then a few weeks later they sent me my treatment plan for my approval. I loved it!
So they sent all 14 steps in the same box. That is a great idea because you don’t have to wait for your next step. All steps went painlessly and my teeth moved! I now only wear the retainer at night and couldn’t be happier with my smile. Candid Co was always professional, easy to contact, and overall great to work with. I am beyond impressed by them!

I went with Candid because they had the best customer service, product material and price hands down.
I went to 3 other orthodontists before them and Candid beat their price! I did the starter kit and scans all from my home, which I was thankful for because I could be comfortable and not embarrassed. I loved the fact I could do it all from home and have access to an orthodontist at any time about any questions I had in my process. They made sure I was happy with my teeth and if I wasn’t they would send refinements.

I chose this company because I tried smile direct club and was denied. No reason was given to me why I was denied. Plus, I didn’t get a refund for my starter kit. I saw the commercial for Candid and they had 75% off the starter kit. I immediately called and ordered my starter kit. It was fast and easy!! The whole process was so quick! I chose candid because I liked that they have actual orthodontists that you work with during your treatment plan. So far candid is meeting my expectations. I have crowding and protruding canines that I have always been embarrassed about. Now I am about to be on step 10 and can start to see the progress! I can’t wait to see where my smile is in my final 6 steps. The impression kit is a bit tricky. I had to do it twice because the size didn’t work for my bottom impressions. Candid had me do the bottoms with a top impression and that worked much better. Do your research, but once you’re ready go for it! You will not regret it.

I had braces already whenever I was a teenager, so I knew that I didn’t want to go through that again. I chose Candid over the other companies because of the price and because they could move my molars. I had acquired an open bite over the years to the point where only my very back molars touched, so I knew that I needed to find a solution. Overall, I’ve had a great experience with Candid. Even though I’m not done with my treatment yet, I can feel a distinct difference in my bite, so it has definitely been worth it!

I had braces as a teenager and my bottom teeth had become crowded again due to not using retainer consistently.
I chose Candid because you are assigned to an orthodontist and send scans of your teeth to them every two weeks. I felt this was a little closer to seeing an in-office provider than other companies. Also, I read that they also work to move back teeth and molars, whereas other online companies dealt just with the appearance of the front teeth .
The company has been decent. There was a big delay getting my aligners and I had to contact them a couple of times. They sent me an extra bottle of foam whitener for the delay .
Treatment has been good . My teeth are straightening for sure . I am a little worried about black triangles being an issue for me , but will have to finish treatment to see. Also, my back bite is changing and it was perfect before – again, will have to wait until treatment end to see if that’s an issue. In office checkups would be nice for reassurance . I started treatment before Candid changed to an in office model . I have contacted customer service a couple of times and they are easy to reach by chat . They give somewhat generic answers and if you want to send question to orthodontist , it is a more lengthy process. . They send you a scan box to attach to your phone to take scans (video and pictures) every two weeks . These are evaluated and then given the go ahead to go to next aligner step or stay in current aligners for a bit longer.
Comfort is ok. New aligners take a few days to get used to usually. Sometimes it is a pain to talk to people and sometimes the plastic feels dry and bulky in your mouth. I had to get used to less snacking and taking them out to eat, then brushing and flossing before putting back in . First, they sent me a molding kit to do at home, once I sent that back I got my treatment plan within a couple of weeks! 2 weeks later i had my aligners. I am so thankful I went through Candid. My smile is the best it has ever been! At any point, I had questions or concerns the customer support would have an answer or solution. I’d give Candid a 10/10 hands down!

I would highly suggest Candid clear aligners as an alternative to braces. They have affordable re payment plans and the progress was amazing! I am very happy with my smile! Once you’re on boarded with the process you can visually see how your teeth shift and progress. One piece of advice is that it can be painful and takes some getting use to as your teeth are literally shifting. But, 100% worth it!

I wanted to purchase aligners because my teeth started shifting forward and it started giving me spaces which I never had. I chose candid because they were a much cheaper option than Invisalign but you still had orthodontist involved in some way.. it’s not solely do it yourself so in a way it was a middle ground between Invisalign and let’s say smile direct. Yes they have met my expectations. I’m only 4 months in and I have so far seen a visible improvement and the customer service is also somewhat good. They also at the time had a good payment plan option. I was surprised at how painful my first tray was during treatment, I thought it would feel like that during the whole treatment but all the trays after my first tray are very manageable and it definitely gets better and you end up getting used to it. I would say if you want treatment with an aligner brand you should definitely consider candid because it’s not as expensive as Invisalign but they still monitor you somewhat.

I decided to purchase clear aligners because I was tired of hating the smile I saw in the mirror. I chose Candid because they were the only company that could offer molar movement. So far, they have met my expectations fully. I am hoping to correct my overcrowding issue. They have made the process very easy and seamless so far and I’m honestly surprised at how well treatment is working considering they offer no buttons or attachments. If I could give any advice, be patient with yourself and this process. It’s a marathon, not a sprint and treatment takes time and lots of patience. Even if you aren’t seeing the changes, stick with the process, I promise they are happening ❤

I decided to purchase aligners because one of my top front teeth sticks out and one next to it sits back a bit. My top and bottom teeth also don’t have a lot of contact.
Candid has done a great job so far, I send in my scans every week for someone to review. Getting them was quick and easy, just had to go in person and they scanned my mouth. It was about a two week wait until they shipped after that.
I was disappointed that they structured fixing those front teeth sticking out towards the end of my treatment but I have seen a lot of progress with my teeth having more top to bottom contact. That’s probably the biggest change you can see in my before and after pictures is that you can see the tops of my bottom teeth rather than them being fully tilted.

I’m very happy with the results I received from Candid. I had crowded teeth prior and underwent 11 months of treatment to straighten my teeth. I went through one issue during treatment where my teeth were not tracking correctly, and customer service was really supportive and helpful. The initial impression kit was slightly difficult to do if you’ve never had impressions before but watching the video provided by Candid was really helpful.
If I had the choice to go through the process again I would, most people didn’t even know I had aligners in but noticed the change in my smile. When switching between sets of aligners there was some discomfort for the first couple of days but it was manageable with OTC pain meds and ice. I’m confident with my smile and happy with the journey.

I initially looked into veneers to close the gap but clear aligners were the better option for my teeth! I decided to straighten my teeth at home after years of wanting to, because the price was so fair compared to conventional braces. I researched clear aligners and landed on Candid after reading reviews and the fact that they have actual orthodontists on staff. I liked that Candid keeps such a close eye on your progress and doesn’t try to rush you through the steps, which can cause damage to your teeth and oral health.
The starter kit was interesting and took a bit to get it right, so I advise anyone new to this program to really watch the videos, do your research and start calm while doing your imprints.
The shipment came fast and I have been very pleased with the results so far! It’s taken much longer than anticipated, but that’s partially because sometimes I don’t wear them the recommended 22 hours a day, and because I’m not in a hurry. I absolutely recommend this brand and can’t wait to see the end results.
Some advice:
1. Aligners are annoying the first couple months. Your mouth WILL be extremely dry. Stay hydrated! 2.You WILL find yourself chewing and clenching your teeth, it’s natural. Don’t worry, that’ll get better over time.
3. They HURT. Anything moving your teeth is going to hurt. They don’t hurt badly while in, but when you eat hard foods, it may be painful the first few days. If will also hurt when you put them back in the first few days.
4. FILE DOWN THE EDGES. Trust me. Take a gentle nail file and slowly blunt all the edges. If you don’t, you’ll likely cut your tongue and/ or sides of your cheeks.
5. The lisp will go away, don’t worry.
6. Brush the aligners when you brush your teeth. Let then soak in warm water a bit then brush, or you’ll notice pretty nasty buildup really quickly.
7. It’s worth it! Just keep it up, don’t give up and it’ll be over before you know it!Good luck! And congrats if you’re starting on this venture, you deserve it 🙂

Overall I have been pretty pleased 3.5-4 stars. Customer service was better at the beginning, so I think they maybe grew too fast and are trying to correct that. I am on my second set of refiners, so I think they’re unrealistic with their tx times. They said 12 steps (approximately 6 months) when I purchased them.
By the end of this refinement period, it will be 30 steps. I don’t have dental monitoring but they have added that since I started. I recommend them for the price point that I paid (1800), unsure if I would recommend for more than 2500

I chose this company because they were the only ones that offered aligners backed by an orthodontist. Going into this, I expected my front gap to close and for my teeth to appear straighter. It has definitely accomplished this and more! They’re not perfect, but it has given me a confident smile.
Customer support has been amazing! I’ve contacted them 3-4 times over the course of my treatment for questions and they have been super quick to respond with helpful responses. I chose to do the impression kit, and it worked correctly on the first go! If you’re considering this company, I definitely recommend putting together a quick go bag with everything you’ll need to brush your teeth!

My journey so far with Candid has been fantastic since the moment I requested an impression kit. My teeth have always bothered me. They were too close to being straight as a kid for me to qualify for orthodontics and it is something I have always wanted to correct in my adulthood. I chose Candid because they were cost-effective and I love that I have a doctor following my treatment plan remotely.
As a busy working mom, finding time to go into a dentist’s office was difficult so I wanted something virtual even before the pandemic. All steps have been easy and straight-forward. Candid has done a great job of having plenty of resources to help its customers through the process. Submitting scans to the orthodontist is very simple. Every 10 days I send in a scan, and I receive a detailed response within a few hours. So far with my treatment, I have been able to advance to the next step every 10 days. I am currently on step 11/16 and beginning to see results more visibly. If I continue to stay on track I will complete my 8-month treatment plan in October instead of January.
Additionally, Candid aligners are very comfortable. I am someone who is prone to mouth sores and I have always been a bit nervous about having an appliance in my mouth. So far I haven’t had any issues that resulted from my aligners other than the slight discomfort when I change to a new set. Typically this resides for me within a couple of days and is never very bothersome. I would recommend Candid Co-treatment to anyone that is seeking clear aligners. They are professional, knowledgeable, cost-effective and care about their client’s journey.

I am on my 5th round of retainers, due to this company not listening to the concerns of the patient. Steps 1-7 of this stage have had a response from, they say, the orthodontist, that things are moving well and to continue. Now, the only respond I get is to stay on the same step over and over again and that I have to wear the retainers for at least 22 hours a day, and use the gummies 3-5 times per day. Well, I wear the retainers for 23 hours per day, and use the gummies for 4-5 hours per day. I have for the entire last two steps. The retainers have moved my teeth as much as they can. They fit the way that every other set have fit before I switch. Plus, my “orthodontist” is in California and last responded at 4:30am their time. This clearly is a scam. It is obvious that This company wants to create an environment where they do not finish my teeth, and make an excuse that it’s because I’m not following the orthodontists procedures. It is obvious that the “orthodontist” is not even the one responding. When I call to talk to someone on the phone, they just hang up on me, or refuse to call me back or get someone who can actually help me finish. The only response I ever get from these BBB complaints is “call us” to which it never gets resolved. This company is a scam.

I am about a quarter of the way done. The “intake” process took a while, I paid at the beginning of January and didn’t get my aligners until the middle of March. The bottom trays for taking impressions were too big, so I had to wait extra time for a new set to be sent before I could take my impressions. And then the review process took quite a while. But once I had my aligners, the scan process is easy and the review and feedback is relatively quick.
