I chose byte because they’re clear aligners ( which I LOVE) and straighten your teeth in as little as 3 months, mine only took 3 & 1/2 months! The impression kit was SUPER easy and quick to do at home. I’m currently on my last set of aligners and I am SO happy with the way my teeth have turned out! I love byte company, they’re customer service is FANTASTIC! I had an issue when I first received my byte aligners, the fed ex box was damn aged and they were scared it may have affected my aligners, so they sent me a whole new set of aligners for FREE! They made it right and I would choose byte again and will always recommend them to everyone!
Helpful?Jennifer P.Florida2 years agoCrowdingI have always wanted straight teeth. To give myself more confidence. To love to smile and not to try to hide that smile. I chose Byte because it has great customer reviews amd a life time guarantee on their products! So far, customer service has been amazing and my teeth have moved soo much! I’m loving my smile and my confidence level and soared! I get compliments all the time on how white my teeth are amd how straight they are becoming! It takes patience as with everything worth doing. It is through the mail and it can take extra time to get the products to you. Shipping is very fast and I have had no problems getting refinements and whitening foam. They work with you to achieve the perfect smile for you! I love also that Byte is so affordable and also offers payment plans and accepts insurance. I would highly recommend Byte to anyone looking to get the smile of their dreams! My dentist even recommends Byte to their clients as well.
Helpful?Amirah A.Boston, Massachusetts2 years agoCrowdingI decided to go with Byte after researching all the other at-home clear aligners. Since my crowding issue was minor, I was hoping to save by doing Byte instead of Invisalign, which was twice the cost.
The beginning of my treatment went well. About 2 months in, I was having tracking issues (teeth were not moving as expected). I reached out to Byte and after 2 weeks of back and forth emails, I was told to start over. I was somewhat disappointed in how long communication took. I would sometimes wait 3 days for a ‘generic’ email response, telling me to contact another department.
I restarted treatment, and 2 months later still had tracking issues. After another 2 weeks of back and forth emails, Byte finally sent me refinements (another set of aligners after another impression kit submission). The whole process took over a month.
In my refinements, I had a strange issue after 2 months. My next set of aligners didn’t fit at all. It was almost physically impossible to put in. I emailed Byte again, and was told to shove them in and leave it overnight, despite the pain and discomfort. Another Byte representative had told me earlier that aligners should click into place, and not cause significant pain. I was convinced something went wrong during manufacturing the aligners, because unlike all my other ones, this next set DID NOT FIT AT ALL.
I tried following all their instructions, it left me with intense pain and discomfort, bleeding gums, and eventually chipped and broke one of my teeth. No matter how much I contacted Byte, they didn’t seem to want to send me a new impression kit for another set of aligners. I kept getting responses from different Byte representatives, each giving me conflicting advise (and taking several days in the process). I was somewhat traumatized by the experience, and ended treatment after that. I had my dentist fix my tooth and have been wary of going back to clear aligners.
TL;DR – fork over the extra money for Invisalign, or another company where you will have regular dentist supervision. Even if your dental issues are small, at home treatment can go very wrong.
Helpful?Ali S.Andover2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothBeing in my 30’s, I never ‘learned’ I had to wear my retainers for the rest of my life to keep my straight teeth after braces. Needless to say, I had the awesome snaggletooth on my bottom teeth.
Overall I’ve been super happy how my teeth have improved. The process is MUCH slower than advertised, so patience is key. I also wear my bottom retainers during the day as I’ve gotten much better results. I’ve had to reach out numerous times to have them adjust my retainers as my teeth weren’t on track. Downside to that is, it literally takes 5 weeks from the point of contact to getting new retainers. You are also 100% on your own. They do not check up on your progress, so you need to make sure that you are keeping an eye out on teeth tracking, etc. If you’ve had braces before, it’s an easy road to maneuver!
Customer service is good, just slow.
I’m happy with the results and am looking forward to hopefully being done with everything soon!
Helpful?Jamila AndersonCanton2 years agoOverjetI decided to get Byte because I wanted to improve my smile. I noticed that as the years have passed my incisors were sticking out more than I wanted them to. I was/am supported by Byte support for this journey. Every time I have a request they respond immediately!! I am positively surprised by the support they have given me since I am unable to go to a dental office for their services. This company should be chosen if you are looking for improvement of your smile but not willing to spend tons of money. It was one of the cheaper aligners, and they rank number 2!
Helpful?Crystal AlbrechtTIfton, Ga2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothOverbiteI have always wanted to fix my teeth and found Byte on Facebook. They had good reviews and seemed to have a reasonable price. I initially received 15 aligners for both top and bottom. They were to be worn a week at a time and use the byte tool 5 min a day. Close to the end I contacted Byte as I did not see significant progress. They instructed me to go back a few weeks and wear them longer and use the tool for 20 min a day. I was also told I had 3 additional aligners for the bottom and 5 for too they were sending out. Towards the end of the expanded set I once again contacted Byte disappointed with my progress. I was instructed again to go back a few weeks. I continued for a few months and finally gave up. It always took more than a week for each response from Byte which led to several weeks as they always requested more photos in each email. I am disappointed and do not see a difference. I feel I wasted the money and will still need braces to correct my issue.

Breanna P.Ohio2 years agoTooth GapI chose aligners because it is a quicker treatment, less costly, and is more visually appealing than braces. I got my aligners through the Byte company because they were more affordable with the same great reviews as other aligners companies. They have met all my expectations. When I damaged one of my aligners they worked really well with me. The only thing I would warn someone about getting aligners is that they can be easily lost and damaged, to replace them through Byte it is $200. Overall it was a good experience.
Helpful?Taylor H.Tucson, AZ2 years agoCrowdingI purchased the byte aligners because of cost and they offered free retainers for life. I thought I his was great since I would need them. I explained to them what my in person dentist told me and explained my goals for my teeth so I could be confident. They assured me that the aligners would work for my smile as nothing was extremes. Just a little crowding on the bottom front and unevenness on the top. They also said that based on my insurance I would only have to pay half.
In the end they gave me the insurance paper claim really late with the wrong date so my insurance denied the claim so I had to pay in full. Also after a year and a half of treatment my lower teeth were slightly better but my upper teeth only seemed worse based on the aligners. I had nonstop problems with their aligners not aligning with my teeth properly. One time they even sent the wrong aligners. After countless attempts to try to resolve the problem with their aligners not being made right for my teeth I asked them politely to either truly fix the problem, tell me the truth that they cannot help me and/or give me my money back! ($1800). They did not respond to any of my requests and only asked for my dentist to send them a letter about my recent cleaning and filings done in the back of my mouth that is NOT affected by the aligners. I was so upset I cut my losses and walked away before they screwed up my teeth. Last thing I will mention is that during my year and a half treatment, I always had to be the one to reach out to them regarding concerns. Then never asked how my treatment was going or if I had concerns. They just wanted my money. Would NEVER recommend them.
Helpful?Matthew OPleasant Grove, UT4 years agoTooth GapI have been looking at doing orthodontia work for years, but never had the time or finances to get it done, until I found Byte. After taking the impression kits at home on my schedule, I got back a 3D digital renderings of how my teeth would adjust. I then decided to give it a shot, after being offered a discount code from the Byte rep. and being informed my insurance would cover 50% of the treatment.
The product and treatment went great, My teeth turned as expected. My only reason for 4 stars, is there insurance customer service department must not have every really checked with my insurance company because they denied the claim saying they do not cover at home tele-dentistry. After several emails, and phone calls, to Byte’s head of customer service I finally gave up and called it s lost of $800 because it wasn’t worth my time to keep fighting.
Over all products are great, just do your own research with your insurance before hand.
Helpful?Scarlett H.Arlington, VA2 years agoCrowdingOverbiteHaving used Invisalign with a traditional orthodontist for 5-6 years, there was still room for improvement. And since I didn’t have aligners, my teeth have moved quite a bit and so I was looking to get my teeth done again. I love that we never had to visit the orthodontist and everything is mailed, and we can log in whenever to the portal to view the treatment plan journey. However, the site wasn’t the most user friendly and there wasn’t much to it other than looking at how your teeth could shift after each set of aligners. I think this is great for someone who has had prior orthodontist/braces experience and is looking for some minor improvement but for more complicated cases that involve major transformation, I think going to a traditional orthodontist is necessary as it might require removing teeth to create space for movement. Absent that, it only allows for very small teeth movements. And it doesn’t correct over/under bite.
Helpful?Nicole DarlingHowell2 years agoCrowdingSpacingMidlineByte has been fantastic, regularly checking in and providing updates and advice along the way. Because of my rather complicated crowding, I went back and redid a few weeks and have only used night aligners so my progress is a little slower but steady and noticeable.
I love the hyperbyte to make things progress more smoothly and more comfortably and the whitener helps as well!
Helpful?Lauren K.Palmetto Bay2 years agoCrowdingSnaggletoothThe thought of having to go to repeated office visits for aligner treatment is what had kept me from fixing my teeth. Being able to have aligner treatment from the comfort of my home was very appealing to me. The burden to monitor your progress falls on the patient when you do an online aligner system but the tradeoff was worth it for me. Whenever I had concerns about my progress I found it easiest and quickest to schedule a virtual appointment on Byte’s website. I ended up having to stay in trays longer than the initially recommended 7 days so my overall treatment took longer than initially predicted but I am very happy with the results.
Helpful?Ashley L.Columbus, OH2 years agoSnaggletoothI would recommend Byte for minor issues. I do not think that they set accurate goals for the completion of treatment. They could also communicate better in the beginning in regards to when to switch aligners (it’s likely not weekly).
If you go into this knowing your treatment will be far longer than projected and that you will need a few refinement sets, I would day go for it.
If you dislike wait times, want immediate answers and check ins with an orthodontist, go the traditional route.
Helpful?Dannie Lynn M.Seattle, WA1 year agoSpacingTooth GapOverbiteWhen an orthodontist tells you to wear your retainer every night, you should listen. I didn’t. And because of that, I had a gap between my teeth. I wanted to get it fixed, but I’m always traveling, so seeing a dentist for invisible aligners wasn’t really an option. Even so, I was very nervous to try byte, not because of the company or because of invisible aligners, but because I travel so much. In the 12 weeks I had byte, I was on over 45 flights, in three different countries, and in nearly 20 different cities. I was worried that invisible aligners would add unnecessary headache to my travel days – especially trying to use them on long haul flights. However, in reality, byte was very easy to use, even when traveling! Now, I’m much more confident in my smile and love the way it looks. More than that though, I’ve seen my general confidence increase. And the maintenance has been easy too – two years out and my teeth still look as good as they did the day I finished my Byte treatment.
Helpful?Madeline K.Greer1 year agoTooth GapWell, I had braces in high school and got a permanent retainer put in but only on the bottom. So when I lost my retainer a year or so later, I developed a gap between my top two front teeth. I felt bad, seeing as my parents spent thousands to pay to get my teeth fixed. So that made me buy them. I chose this company because my mom had actually bought me the beginning kit. And their prices seemed much cheaper than going through an orthodontic.
They almost completely met my expectations. All I needed done was to close the gap in my teeth. They successfully did that, however when the gap closed, one of my front top two teeth were SLIGHTLY lower than the other. It was because my teeth had definitely gotten off track with the different aligners. I wasn’t sure why bc I wore them religiously.
I was quite supported! From the get go, great customer service. They were quick to get back to me. One time my payment bounced because of a hold of funds on my bank account. So I contacted them to let them know I had gotten the situation taken care of and they responded immediately and successfully subtracted the money from my account.
I totally suggest people going with Byte. I recommended a friend and got a $200 Amazon gift card!! Like as soon as my friend purchased her aligners, I was virtually sent the card!!
What is also amazing is that you get free retainers for life AS LONG as you keep ordering them within a certain time frame.
Unlike me, I suggest you pay upfront for your aligners because I accrued a lot of interest by paying monthly.
They were quite accommodating with my situation, seeing as I only needed the top row fixed. They couldn’t give me a discount since I was doing the payment plan but they gave me a free LED whitening thing!! Worth 200-300 bucks!
Helpful?Spencer F.Shawnee, KS2 years agoCrowdingSpacingUnderbiteWhen I first ordered the aligners I had my doubts. I had a pretty bad underbite and my dentist had previously told me that I probably wouldn’t like the results. They weren’t super uncomfortable, just a dull ache, but I’m sure they were a lot more comfortable than braces. They fixed my underbite and straightened my teeth. Very impressed with the results.
Helpful?Stephanie L.Whiteland, IN2 years agoSpacingOverbiteMy smile has always been a source of insecurity for me. I grew up with a gap in my teeth and my parents couldn’t afford braces. Byte offered an affordable option that was easy and truly made me more confident with my new smile. They more than met my expectations of closing the gap between my front teeth and straightening my teeth. I would definitely recommend it. It was so easy and affordable. The customer service team is also amazing.
Helpful?Ali S.Kansas City, MO1 year agoCrowdingMy 2 bottom teeth were crowded in and it was very noticeable when I smiled. I wanted to laugh hard and not be ashamed of my teeth crowding inwards, which made it looks crooked. I found Byte which was cheaper than other aligner brands and they had a shorter number of months for treatment reported on their website. The hyperbyte technology was awesome but my treatment took a lot longer than expected. So, they recommend I use hyperbyte more often daily for a faster process, which helped. Overall, I am happy about the results. However, it is important to not throw away from your slingers, otherwise if you lose one of them, they don’t cover and you have to pay more. So just be cautious of that, but they are a reliable company with helpful customer support!

Beth P.New Hope, Al2 years agoCrowdingOverbiteOpen BiteMidlineByte is definitely the best bang for the buck, the support is somewhat helpful, the price is affordable and it seems to be easy enough. I purchased my impression kit around early April, and purchased my treatment a few weeks after completing the impressions and return mailing them.
The impression silicon tastes awful and I gagged the whole time I waited for it to set up, the instructions were very easy to follow and the waiting was the hardest part. The impression kit came with a return envelope system, and I returned it through USPS with no hassle! I got an email around two weeks later, saying that they received my impressions and would work on the treatment plan soon.
The treatment plan took about two weeks as well, which is a slow turnaround. I had trouble with support after my purchase, emails not returned and calls would be bounced around the support center.
I received my aligners four weeks later. That is ridiculous. I was very unhappy with the time it took, my questions would be met with “it should be coming” and many would be unanswered.
The aligner box included the Hyperbyte, Britebyte and the aligners for the first 15 weeks and their case. It was all packaged nicely, easy to follow instructions and the Hyperbyte came with a cable. The aligners are reminiscent of cheap reusable waterbottles, it has the same texture and the printing and molding can be seen on the aligners themselves causing weird spots when wearing – they’re not exactly discreet.
If you’re not focused hard on a constant support team, or care to have checkups, it’s a good value.
Helpful?Kelly M.Milford1 year agoCrowdingSnaggletoothChose Byte to fix my overcrowding because of the HyperByte. I believed it would speed up treatment as advertised, allowing me to switch aligners every week instead of every two. I could tell immediately that wasn’t going to work and started wearing them 10 days. Still, by week 6 of 18, I realized I wasn’t tracking properly. It took six weeks to go through emailing, sending pictures, getting a new kit, sending it back, and waiting for new aligners to be created. After that, I bought “chewies” (often used by other clear aligner companies, but not Byte, at least at the time), wore the aligners longer, and finally started making progress. Unfortunately, part way through the journey, I encountered sets of aligners with air bubbles in them, bubbles big enough to be felt on my teeth. So, enter another delay of emailing and production and waiting for new aligners. This was not rushed, despite being 100% Byte’s error. When I finally finished, already months behind the date originally told to me, my teeth still weren’t straight (although the aligners fit fine), so I entered refinements. Which meant emailing. And pictures, and reviews, and more production before getting more aligners. When that period was over, there was still a bottom tooth not fully inline, but very close. As I was at 64 weeks of a process that was sold to me as 18 weeks, I was ready to be done. I asked for my retainers. This, unfortunately, was not the end of my journey with Byte. A little more than a month of wear, my retainer cracked straight over the front tooth–one of the teeth that experienced the most movement, and NOT even on the same row as the tooth that wasn’t fully inline. Frustrated with email response times, I reached out on social media, as others had sworn it was faster. The response team on social media still took time to respond, and then essentially emailed the correct people for me. And I was stuck waiting. The response was… not good. They told me I shouldn’t be wearing my retainers so much (counter to all traditional advice from practically every orthodontist) and that since I’d had their six-month retainer for “so long” I’d have to buy a full new set. I should also mention that I asked for research showing that only two weeks of retainer wear would be sufficient, as they claim, and that question was ignored.
But, my teeth are 98% straight, and a thousand times better than what they were. So I highly recommend clear aligners, just not necessarily with Byte.
Helpful?Karin B.Washington, DC2 years agoSpacingTooth GapByte has been the easiest, best decision I could have made for my smile. My dentist quoted me over 5k for Invisalign and I immediately looked into other options. byte makes it so easy to take your impressions at home, mail them back and track them. My favorite feature was the 3D modeling they send of your mouth before ordering the retainers,
I haven’t worn retainers since middle school, so getting back into the swing of things wasn’t easy. But I’ve gotten used to having them in now, 22 hours a day if I can.
Helpful?Joy P.South Orleans, MA1 year agoCrowdingOverbiteByte was such a good decision. The customer care representatives were very helpful in the process! I feel so comfortable with them that I could email them at anytime with any complications or problems and they would help me with in minutes. They were very considerate and understanding and patient with the process and the process itself is very easy I was able to receive my liners within a week of deciding that this was the right option for me I would just say to anybody who is wondering about Byte to make sure that they are 100% ready for this commitment and ready to have a routine. The byte aligners can be quite painful at the beginning but they make an absolute difference!
Helpful?Shannon H.Eau Claire, WI2 years agoCrowdingOverbiteI impulsively decided to purchase the aligners after seeing a TikTok ad for them, and since I had a discount code, figured why not. I chose Byte because it was the cheapest option, but they aren’t as good as they claim to be. In hindsight, I wish I had went with a different company because my treatment took more than twice as long as it was supposed to and my teeth never moved all the way into correct position. To add more to my issues, the customer service is painfully slow at getting back to you. For a treatment claiming to be fast, it’s not going to be fast when the company takes up to a whole week to respond to your request for help. If you’re considering Byte, see if your insurance will cover it (mine didn’t). If not, don’t waste your money on them.
Helpful?Bryn P.North East, MD2 years agoSpacingOverbiteOpen BiteI have never had any dental work other than cleanings so I wanted to pull my teeth in as they protruded forward. I researched several companies and Byte seemed best. I was suppose to have 6 months of treatment but my test are still not to my satisfaction. I definitely see improvement but not what they showed would have happened. Customer service is ok. They do respond but it takes a few days and they constantly asked for new photos. I believe byte is a good company but couldn’t quite fulfill my expectations.
Helpful?Sarah B.Bellingham, WA2 years agoCrowdingMidlineI decided to get aligners because I’ve always been self conscious of my teeth. People would tell me my teeth “weren’t that bad ” but I never felt confident. After getting the aligners I’ve felt so much better! My teeth are straight and I look back at old pictures and see that my smile was crooked and I feel really happy with my decision.
The customer support was good. I need more adjustments after finishing my initial treatment, and they were always really great about getting back to me in a timely manner. I would 100% recommend Byte!
Helpful?Tessa O.NJ2 years agoCrowdingCrossbiteI decided to go with byte because they had the best guarantee that if the treatment Didn’t work they will issue a refund. Their intro box offer also came out to be the cheapest. So far along the way customer service has been super helpful. I had a problem halfway through my treatment with the aligners the roof it as well as the shed and I was able to submit a request to restart. It was covered and I do not have to pay an additional fee. I’m in the process of working on this new set of aligners now.
Helpful?Yolanda MendozaHouston Tx2 years agoSpacingI was very hesitant to try this because there was no in office consultation or doctor i would be seeing. And the cost is a little to much for me to pay in full, but they offer a payment plan which is great! I had braces 13 years ago, but my retainers got old and I was never able to get another pair from my orthodontist. So far my teeth have looked even better then before! And if I lose my retainers or break them, I get to have another pair on them! It’s very easy and I even received a whitening kit free! I truly recommend Byte!
Helpful?Sam StoneBristol, CT2 years agoSpacingTooth GapFor 29 years I’ve had spacing that I’ve always been self conscious of, I decided to go with byte because they were a cheaper option. I’ve had a pleasant experience with byte both with customer service and my treatment plan. I’ve been able to switch aligners every 7 days as instructed and have already completed my bottom trays. I have noticed that spacing seems to be an easy fix, I’ve seen that some people trying to fix a crowding issue need multiple refinements at times and go well beyond the 7 days before switching trays. I definitely recommend byte if you’re fixing a spacing issue.
Helpful?Veester L.Vancouver1 year agoSnaggletoothOverbiteMy Byte journey began in April 2022. For several years, I’d been wanting to try braces but I felt I wouldn’t be able to afford them and they might not fit my lifestyle as an active adult. Then one day browsing online I saw an ad for Byte and that they featured clear aligners that can be worn overnight only. The price was much more affordable than in office treatment as well and with financing options so I figured I’d go for it.
I ordered the impression kit, filled out a dental history form online, and uploaded some pics of my teeth. After sending the impressions back, within a few weeks I had my customized treatment plan and aligners and was ready to start treatment.
The aligners came in numbered packages that made it easy for me to keep track of them, the Byte app made it easy to keep abreast of my progress with daily and weekly check ins and reminders to change my aligners. Every month so far the treatment team has me upload progress pics. The aligners themselves are comfortable. They take some getting used to but much preferred over the hassle of going to numerous in office appointments and wearing them all day. I love the convenience and the price, and after 3 months of use I am excited that I’m already seeing my teeth straightening!
Helpful?Brittany W.United States2 years agoCrowdingSpacingAfter failing to wear my retainer as a teenager, I decided to purchase clear aligners for another chance at having straight teeth. Overall, my teeth weren’t really that bad, but the crowding in the bottom made flossing and cleanings at the dentist painful. I chose this company after hours of research because of the amount of positive experiences I read about and the byte for life guarantee. The company did not meet my expectations. Once receiving my aligners, I haven’t really been contacted at all to check on my progress and wasn’t given any instructions on “checking in” with Byte. The company could do a better job of providing patients with what to do after receving aligners. I believe it also very unrealistic that most patients can switch aligners each week. I’ve had to wear some aligners 3+ weeks. Customer support isn’t the greatest.
I’m almost 2 years into treatment that was supposed to be a 12 week plan. I’ve had to do “refinements” twice. Refinements are when you have to send in a new impression and they make you more/different aligners. The impression kit was fairly easy to understand, getting great impressions the first time was impossible for me and quite the struggle the second time. I believe my first set of aligners were made with “bad” impressions.
My advice for anyone considering aligners is go to your local dentist/orthodontist and opt for Invisalign. I know it can be more expensive, especially if you need extensive adjusting, but at least that way you know you’re getting aligners made from a good impression, don’t have to worry about damaging your teeth/gums, and a professional to regularly oversee treatment.
